The perfect pair of bib shorts don't feel like bib shorts—they don't feel like you're wearing anything at all. And from here on out, you'll wish all of the bib shorts you race in would disappear beneath you like the SL Bib Shorts. You wanted top-shelf, and you got it.

This unmatched comfort comes, in part, from our custom, pre-molded 3D Chamois. Not only is it pre-molded to the shape of your body and saddle to reduce wrinkles and pressure points, but it also features multi-density foam that ensures the utmost in comfort. The other half of the comfort equation comes from the fabrics and the fit. For example, the welded uppers get rid of seams altogether for the most comfortable straps possible, while an articulated design ensures the perfect fit when in the riding position.

  • Four-way stretch fabric provides ample comfort and a soft hand.

  • Welded bib upper construction reduces friction and dials-in the fit by reducing the need for seams. The bib upper fabric, meanwhile, incorporates a carbon yarn for anti-microbial and thermal regulation properties.

  • Silicone-infused fabric cuff provides a gentle, secure hold on the legs in order to ensure the perfect, shift-free fit.

  • Articulated design ensures the perfect fit while in the riding position.

  • Reflective elements increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.

  • UPF 50+ rating protects your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays.

  • Triple-density-foam Performance Body Geometry Contour 3D Chamois is pre-molded to match the shape of the body for exceptional comfort.

  • 11" inseam (size Medium)

  • Slim Fit feels like a second skin.

  • Tall sizing offered with additional inseam and bib strap length for taller riders. (Availability subject by market).

  • Fabric Content: BODY: 78% Nylon, 22% Spandex, UPPER: 73% Polyester, 24% Lycra, 3% Carbon, LEG BANDS: 62% Polyester, 15% Elastane, 23% Silicone.

This is my first specialized

This is my first specialized bib shorts (and the mist expensive one). The size is the same as any other brands I wore. Really nice fit, comfy padding, and shoulder straps, even on long rides (5+hrs).

Decent bibs are inexplicably expensive.

Decent bibs are inexplicably expensive. This model works well for me at an acceptable price point. This is my 3rd pair of 3 in use. Material is great. Chamois works. Sizing tends to be small. I’ve returned two pair in hopes that the exchange will get me a set at the upper limit of their size large. I’m 6’1”, 190, have always worn a large in bibs and fall squarely in the lg size guide.

The bib shorts fit well

The bib shorts fit well and I like the chamois pad. I live in a very hot and humid climate so I don't wear a base layer shirt and the straps feel a little scratchy at first but softened up with wear and washing.

These are my go to

These are my go to shorts. I like them because they are a little longer than others on the market. I have long thighs. Some other manufacturers are shorter in length and I always have to keep pulling them down. Not these. I’m 6’1 155 lb and I ordered medium.

Great chamois, painful stitching in some areas

I was really looking forward to this bib as I love the Specialized's SL jerseys. The chamois on this bib is the best I've worn up until now. Then again I haven't spent more than $100 on a bib up until this point. Really like how the chamois covers the front a little better than my other ones. What's really hurting my impression of these bibs are the seam stitching areas. They are hard and prickly especially in the strap area. I bought some base layers to work around this. But for the price they would feel as good as their other SL line.

Great product

Great big tights. Ignore all the negative comments about the straps here. The straps are great. After 3 rides they'll mold to your body and you'll get used to it. Better than my pearl izumi and sportful bib straps. Great bibs high quality construction.

Previous version was better

Unfortunately thes are a step backwards from the last version. Seems don't lay flat and rub. Mid section rides really high so plan on nature calls taking a while. Same chamois. Overall very bland.

Feel Amazing

I was reluctant to spend the money until I took the time to try them on! What a huge difference from an inexpensive pair purchased at a sporting good store. They hug your body and the fabric is super soft. The padding supports without feeling bunched up. Extremely comfortable!

Horrible Fit, Do NOT Buy

I was extremely disappointed in the fit of this item. There's a significant gap in the band at the bottom of your quads that leave a loop and a loose fit on your legs. I'm returning this item for a full refund. Very disappointed in this item as I've been accustomed to higher quality items from Specialized. Avoid buying this item.

Great shorts, meh straps

Shorts fit great, Does not slide up thighs, pad hold up well on 50+ mile rides. Straps feel like that itchy sweater you get out for holidays - you wear it but it bothers you until something else distracts you. In the riding positions they move to a more comfortable place but that folded edge is sharp/scratchy on the nerps. They will remind you on occasion during the ride. I fit great in the medium, 5'11"" at 170lbs

Athletic Functionality

This is a very important and functional cycling product that I had previously taken for granted. I had always bought cheap when it came to cycling shorts and never actually owned a pair of bibs - I thought those were exclusively for the advanced cyclist. No more!

Different than my older pair of SL Bibs

So I purchased 2 pair of these while they were on sale, a few weeks ago. I have several older versions of SL bibs from past years, ones with the solid silicone bead on the leg cuff and my favorite that has the dots of silicone every inch or so. I loved the latter pair and would save them for longer rides because they were the most comfortable. So I saw these were on special for the holidays and decided to give then a try and replace some older worn/loose fitting bibs. So my comparison is based on these vs. my favorite pair. Both are SL bibs but years a part. So lets begin. As another reviewer state- the straps do not stretch, well they have a little give but are pretty much unstretchable(like a reusable market bag), this is not a bad thing, just something you need might need to get use to. I am use to the stretch type bibs since all my pairs are that way for the last few decades. On the new bibs- the stretch is more in the waist section above the hip. This does draw your shorts up and tight in to your ""contact area"" of the saddle and takes up any slack you might have in the thigh area of your shorts. So it is a feeling you might need to get use to, if like me, your shorts would hang a little looser. Its not uncomfortable, just need to adapt to it like a new pair of shoes. The other big difference compared to my favorite pair is the silicone cuff area. When I first pulled the new pair out of the bag, I instantly hated the feel in my hands. It felt like some inner tube material. I thought it was going to cause the cuffs to cut in and pull at my skin the whole time. My previous pair had little to no silicone other than 1/4 inch circles spaced out around the cuff and thats all I need to keep the short from riding. So I figured these were going to suck. To my surprise, the fit is snug but not tight, and does not pull at my skin. Just the right amount of tension around the quads, sort of like a fresh pair of socks on your feet.

I like mine

They fit my tall slender build well. No chafing issues. These bibs are what I reach for when I go for the century ride! They are spendy.

Poor fit

The straps are the problem : there is trim on the sides of each strap that does not stretch - so...the straps bind and do not stretch as much as needed. I returned these bibs.

Fantastic bibs for any type of ride

I just got these the day before my first century and decided to wear them. These things are awesome. Super light, comfortable and do not obstruct movement on the bike. i could hardly tell i was wearing bibs at all! The chamois was perfectly supple and supportive even for a full 100 miles. I cannot recommend these enough!
