Great stem, not 100% new however

Nice stem, quickly delivered. Not 100% new with oil & fingerprint marks on it, not a huge issue as they rubbed off but just something I noticed.

Great stem

My venge Pro came with a 100 mm stem 6 degree stem. I purchased a 120 mm 12 degree stem. From what I read I was going to need a special spacer or have to file the existing spacer down. Either that or change out the brake cables. But in reality I swapped it out no problem without swapping any spacers or brake cables!

Great stem BUT WHY...

Why put a 6deg stem on a 10k + all out race s-works bike that is begging to be slammed? My bran new 2019 sworks venge 54 cant be slammed to match my 2015 giant propel advance0 54 (which has been perfectly set up for me all 5 seasons of riding it with it slammed) Is Spec forcing me to buy a neg 12degree stem OR wait for an even better -17degree that would reduce air resistance more??? my 54 sworks venge di2 came with a 100mm 6deg stem. Not cool! when everything else on the bike is PERFECT. But i will love the -12deg 130mm stem if the dealer cant trade it out for me... other than that, GREAT BIKE, IF a -12 or -17degrees - this would be a great aero stem. -6deg just creating a sail to slow you down with more air --- why??? use the aero spacers if you need higher bars.

Nice looking stem, but...

I am 169cm tall and opted for a 52 S-works Venge. It came with a 90mm stem wich doesn't make any sense. It's even too short riding up right. This is an aerobike so imo it should be designed to ride in an aeroposition. I would really need a 110 -12 stem to get low, 6 and 12 rise abit of a joke to be honest. I guess it only make sense if you for for a much smaller frame and just with stem ride to get stack right. I just might have to switch out my venge stem for zipp sprint with -12. Apart from this the stem itself is a nice and welldesigbed rigid piece.

Keeps the sleek look of the Venge

If you change from the stock 6 degree stem to a 12 degree stem, you need to install the transition spacer S192500006 or use a file to modify the existing transition spacer. The first option requires redoing the cables & brake hoses. I would like Specialized to make this stem in 17 degree also.
