The all-new S-Works Turbo RapidAir is our ultimate race day tire. The most efficient, lightest, best handling, and durable tubeless tire we’ve ever made. The original RapidAir is the tire that broke the World Tour’s addiction to tubulars with Tour de France stage wins, Green Jerseys, and Monument victories. Coaxing more speed and a longer life from our fastest race-day tubeless tire was no easy feat.

We knew we had an incredibly fast foundation – RapidAir’s unique construction. Instead of a traditional three-ply casing that masses material under the tread where it increases rolling resistance, the Rapid Air casing is just two plies that overlap at the side wall that not only rolls faster, but grips better as well, with a more supple contact patch.

Elevating this already formidable performance is our all-new Gripton T2 compound - the fastest, most efficient compound we’ve ever created. We’ve combined this with the legendary grip of our Gripton T5 compound on the shoulders. With this dual compound a set of 26mm S-Works Turbo RapidAir 2BR tires saves two watts of rolling resistance over the previous tire and adds approximately 1000 kilometers of life to a set. Oh, did we mention they are lighter? Just 230grams in 26mm.

As a tubeless tire, the new RapidAir has ‘leave the spare tube at home’ performance when combined with RapidAir sealant, but the protection doesn’t end there. With new hybrid-Kevlar Blackbelt protection under the tread, you’ve got 12% more puncture protection with lighter weight and more flexibility for a more supple ride.

The new S-Works Rapid Air is also compatible with both hooked and hookless rims for the flexibility to ride the wheels and pressure you want. Our new Zylon reinforced beads also exceed hookless burst pressure standards by 200% for ultimate peace of mind. The win-win’s keep on coming with new RapidAir.

Not as good as before

Was hoping that this model would be as good or even better then Turbo T5 - however, very disappointing. Love Specialized tired but will not purchase this model in the future Pro - - tire lasted OK distance - about 3,500mi on decent roads (Turbo Pro Cotton lasts me about 5,000mi on same roads) - handles well Cons - - runs about 1.5-1.6 mm narrower so 28mm is about the same as the older 26mm -middle (T2 compound) wears out quickly - it's extremely hard to put on / to take off - one of the hardest tires I've mounted on

Good tire, but if you run tubes, it's a real pain

These new generation tubeless-ready tires should only be used in a tubeless setup, as repairing a flat on the road with aero wheels like on my S-Works SL7 Tarmac is excruciatingly hard, and I have really good upper body strength. Complete nightmare because of the bead rigidity for tubeless installs. Ended up going with the new Pirelli P-Zero Road clincher tires and it's night and day better and lighter.

Perfect Tire

I've ridden on these tires for more than 6 months. No flats, fast rolling and excellent grip in the wet. They set up tubeless easily with a floor pump and hold air extremely well on my Roval wheels

Good tyre but flat-prone

Tyre is supple, seemingly rolls fast, however it is rather prone to punctures that won't seal, even with a plug. So I'd stay away from this tyre, unless you've got a team car handy to give you a spare wheel when you need one!

Good Tires

I’m impressed with how well these tires have survived NYC. I’ve ridden about 300 miles in these and have about 15 punctures in the front and rear tires. All of them sealed on their own and I never noticed it while riding. There’s glass bits everywhere and it’s not possible to safely avoid them all the time. I did lose pressure over night which indicated possible punctures. They are comfortable, for a size 26 that is.
