After 4.5 years of abuse and multiple crashes, it broke

I've had the same S-Works Toupe since the 2006 road season. I raced with it for 3 years and it survived many miles (about 22,000) and multiple crashes (15?). Yes, it laid around in my garage for many years after the 2008 season but I decided to put it on my mountain bike 1.5 years ago and I finally broke it in a crash today. So, I estimate 4.5 years of extreme abuse of a lightweight and amazingly comfortable saddle. I'm on this site looking for my next Toupe!!

Most comfortable Toupé I have ridden so far

I've been riding one version of the Toupé family or another for the last 8 or so years (I have one on each of my bikes) The s-works model, while obviously more expensive, didn't seem like it would be more comfortable, but this time out, for my personal ""super bike""build, I decided to go for it, SO glad I did!! While I only have like 5k miles on it so far, it seems to be as durable as any I have had, I'm a light weight guy (155lbs) and ride lite"". Specialized customer service has always been top shelf for me. Yeah I read the review by the person who had trouble with their purchase and decided to write this review in part due to them slamming a brand that has sevrved me well for years. Everyone's experience I am sure will vary, and my LBS has a great relationship with Specialized and I a loyal LBS customer maybe that is part of it? Bottom line, I would not hesitate to get another one! Everyone has to decide for themselves I guess. Happy trails!!
