Great shoes, but order one whole size up.

Specialized size calculator recommended a size 45 for me, but my toes were just touching the front of the toe box when I put them on. Ordered a size 46 and they fit perfect. Super comfy and sticky. Great shoes.

Not wide enough

They were too narrow for my wide feet. I ordered a size 11, as suggested, yet still the shoes were too narrow. I wear unusually a size 10.5 shoe. I have yet to find a descent pair of mtn. bike platform pedals shoes that are wide enough in the shoe box.

Wow! Excellent shoes

1st of all, after scanning the previous reviews , I took the recommendation to go up in size and was glad I did. I did the whole measuring thing and went up a full size from there. I do have wide feet and wanted to make sure the shoes had enough room. I just want to say that I HATE ordering shoes online, but I had no choice here. The local shops did not have my size, so I took the leap of faith and I'm glad to say it worked out. Comfortable on the pedal, great solid feeling platform, and a shockingly sticky sole. My feet were supported, I pedaled way more efficiently and no numb toes after the ride (sorry Vans) Even if you are a casual rider, like me, you will benefit tremendously from wearing riding shoes. Get 'em!

Excellent shoe for the $

Can’t recommend these enough! Fit is spot on (once you figure out your European size) and they are super comfy on and off the bike. Pedal grip is excellent, soles are very supportive and they feel well made. I like them better than my fiveten freeriders which cost more.

Sticky Rubber, Comfy Upper

Decided to try these since they’re on sale. Coming off of RC shoes, which have been fine. The Specialized rubber is slightly stickier than the RC. What I like even more is how comfy they are. No breakin required. They look a little odd out of the box, as if I got two left shoes but once they’re on your feet it’s not noticeable. After using these for a ride or two, I bought two more pairs and put them on the shelf for future use.

Best flat shoe on the market

These shoes have a larger footprint (more rectangular) than 510s, which makes them easier to find a comfortable spot on the pedals and the compound is super grippy. The outside footprint is not bulky but make sure to order 1/2 size up because the sizing runs small. Best flat bike shoe on the market and especially at the current price.

So uncomfortable

When I first got these shoes, I took them out of the box and had a hard time figuring out which shoe went on which foot. They look very strange. I decided it was okay and then tried to wear them out, the more I wore them, the more they became more and more uncomfortable. For some reason I can't even walk normally with my left foot because of the way the shoe bends. It creates a really uncomfortable bend in the shoe and makes my foot feel bruised.

Pretty nice!

I got these when they were on sale. Had a pair of Freeride Pros that were collapsing on the outside and becoming more uncomfortable. These out of the box aren’t as comfortable as Freeride Pros. But they are getting there. I’ve ridden in them maybe 4 or 5 times. The grip is good, the protection is good, I feel like they are stiffer than Freeride Pros. They are definitely blockier but you only notice that when you are walking. They might be narrow for some people. I don’t know of the top of my head how much they were regular price and they were probably worth it, but on sale they are great!!

Kind of comfortable but....

The shoes seem to be excellent quality, they should last quite a while. I gave them only 3 stars because putting them on is very hard for some reason. There is a lot of friction when stepping into the shoe and the tongue is very hard to hold on to. The looks of the shoe and the fit around the big toe is awkward. The shoes look, and initially feel like they are symmetrical and not right and left foot. Because of that I was concerned that they put pressure on my big toes. That is fortunately only marginally the case otherwise I would not have kept the shoes. They are reasonably comfortable after putting them on and wearing them for a while.

Good Mountainbiking shoe with some hits and misses.

Sole is a tacky compound that grips pretty well. About on par or maybe a little less grippy than my FreeRiders but grip is definitely just right on these as foot is repositioned a little easier and still locks in when wanted. Could hear it squelch a bit on the tile and hard floors in my home. I like the lace band to tuck the laces when riding. Shoes are comfortable for the most part except… Toe box around just above toes at top of foot is a little tight. Not sure if it’s the tongue or what but I prefer the ‘comfort-like’ looser fit of my FreeRiders to these 2FO flat shoes. Fit is a little narrower. I have average width feet and my 510 FreeRiders felt less locked in than these. So depending on how aggressive the rider is pushing these, some may prefer a more locked in for that is harder to come out of while some might miss the ease of just slipping into some shoes like I can with the FiveTens. Also I don’t think the size chart seems to translate super well. I normally wear a size 12. The 45.5 I think is just under and the 46 seems well over the 12 so the sizing is just weird. The 45.5 fits okay lengthwise but maybe the next bigger size might have felt better in the upper forefoot area…but then I’d be thinking more material to strike. I like the styling/look of these a little better than my 510s. At full price, I think there are other options I prefer but at sale price I would pick these up without much hesitation again. So far they seem pretty durable. Depending on how long the soles last will push me to keep buying these or go back to my Freeriders that ai have worn the past few pairs of MTB specific flat shoes I own.

Comfortable leather shoe, good arch support

These are good looking, comfortable, old school bike shoes. I love them for commuting, errands and social coffee shop rides. The arch support is great and fits me like an orthotic. They are not as great for wet muddy trails where a mesh or synthetic shoe would be better, and serious racers will want a stiffer platform.

tight fit for wide and high feet but they stick to the pedals

- I have wide feet - I have a very high instep - I can slide a CAD five dollar bill under my arches when I am standing - I typically buy shoes that are too big just for width - for reference if it helps, american size 9 sandals from Keen fit me perfectly - those are said to be run wide The size tool recommended 42. I ordered 43. The width was far too tight around the toes and mid-foot for me. I returned them and got 43.5 which are still quite tight, but I don't want shoes that are too long. I also got the inserts which makes things more tight, but it feels better on my toes. I don't notice the tightness at all when I ride with them, but I would never use them to walk around in. As for stickiness - this is my first pair of bike shoes for flats so I can't compare but these shoes stick quite well for me. My feet feel like they are stuck to the pedals to the extent that I caught myself trying to "twist out" a couple of times as if I was clipped in to my SPD pedals.

Good shoes with frustrating factory/quality control error

Ordered a pair, they were just barely too snug for me, returned and ordered 1/2 size up. Upon arrival the half size larger was actually smaller, and when held next to a shoe of corresponding size and as visibly smaller, by about 1/2 inch. Clearly mislabeled and missed by QC. Returned the second pair, went to a local bike shop and purchased the same shoes in the half size larger (this time correctly labeled) and they’re great! Great fit, comfortable, stiff sole, grippy af.

STICKY, Stylie & a Just Right Fit

These shoes are great! Searched high and low for something to replace my worn-out 5.something’s. They are STICKY! Fit snug in the heel and mid foot with a really good amount of space in the toe box (which has always been an issue for me with competitors offerings), and as I said above —really outstanding grip! They’ve become super comfortable after full break-in and seem well made and durable. They peddle well with very little flex, but are also not bad for walking or hike-a-bike. I’d also call them pretty ‘normal’ looking for townie-casual, touring or commuter type riding. Specialized keep this model in the line-up for replacement time— I’ll be back for another pair! Two thumbs up!!!

I found these shoes run

I found these shoes run small, having to purchase size 11 for 10.5 I normally wear. I like the wide toe box and this combined with stiffer soles were the motivators to purchase. I have arthritic toes and the Adidas Trailcross shoes I was using would push my big toes to the outside (towards the smaller toes) and would sometimes get severe foot cramps after a longish tide [18-30 miles on steep off road fire trails). I have used the 3 rides totaling 75 miles and I feel the stiff soles, but my big toes are much happier.

Have had a really hard time finding a MTB flat that fits. I have wide toes and a narrow heel: shoes either crush my toes or slide and chafe in the heel. Have tried dozens and dozens of shoes, including all the usual suspects (Freeriders, etc), and the 2FO Roosts so far are the best I’ve found. Sizing runs small: I used the online sizing tool and it said I was a 45 (US 11.5). I tried and returned a 45, a 45.5 and a 46 before ending up with a 46.5 (US 12.5), and still had to stretch the toe box a bit! Funny because I’ve been as small as a Men’s 10 in some dress shoes. Good MTB flat with a grippy sole.

Great shoe but I miss the tongue and heel tab that the older version of this shoe had.

This is my 2nd pair of Specialize 2FO flat shoes. I use them for about 90% bike commuting and 10% trail riding averaging about 4000 miles a year. The last pair I had lasted me 3 years. These shoes are durable, comfortable, true to fit and super sticky on the pedals. I love the shoes and this 2nd pair I just purchased seem just as great. The only thing I miss are the tongue and heel tabs. Since 90% of my rides are commutes I sometimes have to change clothes. The tongue and heel tabs on the old shoes made it easy to slip the shoes on. Now I have to sometimes grab the bottom of the shoe to push them on. I would have given them 5 stars if they had the tabs.

I’ve had the Freerider and Freerider pro before this shoe. Those have ran slightly small for me. And unfortunately, my left foot is slightly bigger. Unless I want to track down a 15 and have some slop I’ve just dealt with the tight fit bit it was painful at times. I ordered 14-1/2(which I have never seen before) in the 2FO’s and could not be happier. The fit is perfect and it’s been some of the most comfortable pedaling I’ve done. Aside from the personal fit issue, the sole is sticky and flexible, but more supportive than my previous shoes. The main part of the shoe seems well built and they used a softer material for the toe which allows for more flex up from. I’ve got about 5 rides in them so far on new pedals and haven’t noticed any chunks out of the sole. No idea on longevity yet but so far I am sold on these shoes.

This is a great shoe. Grip is great. Flex is perfect (just the right amount, not too stiff, but not too much of a noodle). Durability seems good so far. Comparing to freerider pro, freerider, hellion, livewires and shimano gr9's, these are top dog by a wide margin. Better grip, amazing pedal feel, comfy. Sizing note. I'm a true 13 in most brands, and their chart says 13 = 47. I found 48 to be a better match to a true 13 size across other brands. Their 48 is a bit bigger than the 510 48's. Good for rocks, roots, ruts, and...car tires? Pt. 3

Upon inspection I saw in amazement the shoe was almost as in good condition as when it had taken its fateful fall. The heal counter was slightly bent, likely from being run over a handful of times, but was otherwise a completely intact and rideable shoe. I'm still looking forward to new shoe day but that day won't be as soon as I had thought. Thanks for making such a durable shoe, Specialized. Also lesson learned: don't forget your shoes on the roof.

Good for rocks, roots, ruts, and...car tires? Pt. 2

"There's a shoe on your roof." Panic ensued. I quickly stopped and retrieved the lone shoe from my room. I chalked it up to a loss, disappointed, but hey, who wouldn't be excited to replace them with a brand new pair? Several hours passed and I went about my day until it came time to drive back home. I thought to myself, "well heck, maybe I can still find the remnants of the shoe and can properly dispose of them." I drove past the spot of the clunk and no more than a few yards away I spotted it- the prodigal brother to the shoe sitting in my passenger seat.

Good for rocks, roots, ruts, and...car tires? Pt. 1

First things first- the fitment of this shoe is great and I hope they don't stop selling them any time soon. I chose these over the 510's because the instep seems to be wider and puts less pressure on my foot(I have pretty flat/wide feet) and it feels much more comfortable overall. About a week ago I finished up a trail ride and left my shoes on the roof of my car when I was putting away my gear. Absentmindedly I forgot they were on top of the car and drove off. A few miles down the busiest road in my city I heard a clunk and didn't think anything of it-until I pulled up to a stop light and the driver next to me motioned to roll my window down.

Super sticky grip, really comfy!

All I can say is wow! I got my pair used because I was hesitant to buy a shoe that was relatively new to the market. The pair I found on a gear trading website was clearly riden hard with marks on the soles. The insoles were untouched, however, and when I tried them I was shocked at how well they fit my arch. No idea why the original owner didn't use them. Whatever, I thought, for half off I don't mind a few cosmetic scratches and I'm sure I'll be able to judge the grippiness even with evidence of hard use. Well, if they are this grippy used, I'm slightly terrified at how grippy they are new out of the box! I went on a super rocky trail today and it was like my feet were glued to the peddles. I cannot overstate how locked in these shoes feel. I am incredibly impressed and now think these are more than worth the sticker price. I normally wear a men's 10.5 and the size 44 fits perfectly. I have a narrow foot and while 5.10 and RC are a bit wide for me, these are great.

Best shoes on the market!

I had just destroyed a pair of 5.10 Freerider pros and was looking for a replacement and ended up with a pair of these 2FO’s and at first was a little skeptical of the Body Geometry but after a few days of use I got used to it and really started to like them. As someone who rides clipped in half the time my flat pedal grip needs to be second to none and these shoes did exactly that. I will highly recommend and am planning on buying another pair!

Incredible, runs small though

Flat pedals gravel guy here. Super sticky. Currently on Race Face Chester pedals. The body geometry thing is not a gimmick, I noticed extra comfort my first ride. All black is a huge plus, looks much more like a grown up shoe than competitors, although it still does look like a skate shoe, but I don't see that as a downside at all. I'm a size 10 in 510 Freerider Pro, and ordered a 10 here, but they were like 5 or 6 mm shorter, maybe even more, and incredibly tight and uncomfortable. I read around and realized others had this problem also, and returned for a full size up (11) and they are perfect. Favorite riding shoe now, also helps that they are less expensive than 510 pro. Hope to see more versions soon.

On par if not better than Five Ten

Big fan of Five Ten's for their design, fit, and grip. Tried other brands claiming to have the same grip w/ flats, but for me were not the same. Specialized has a winner with these the fit and grip are equal or better than Five Ten's. What puts these over the Five Tens are the design and colors. I really like the suede elements they added the the wine color (Cast umber) rocks! These are my go to now over my Freerider pro's. As for sizing was the same as my Five Tens (42).

One of the best flat shoes

I have to say I was a little skeptical at first with buying Specialized shoes. I can say with out doubt that these shoes have made me a convert from 5 10. I have worn 5 10 shoes for years, and when they bought by Adidas, there shoes just fit the way they use to. My only option to find a new brand. My local shop had these in stock and was amazed when I tried them on in store. I immediately noticed the difference in feel and comfort, and the first thing my feet felt was the arch support, where 5 10 completely lack and always ended spending extra money on inserts. To put the comfort to the test, I wore these at work for a full 10 hours day of walking around and standing and my feet were not tire or sore. I was amazed.

I would buy these shoes again

For my 1st pair of biking shoes, I dig them. When I ride, my whole foot feels more secure. My feet don't feel fatigued after every ride.

Excellent shoe

Good 10.5 (US) fit, toe box is normal street-shoe width adequate with thin socks. Pedal pins stick firmly into tread. Support feels great. Looks good. Well made. Sent promptly.

Yes. This shoe is everything you've heard.

The reviews are correct. Finally! 510 has some competition. Maybe not because I'm thinking this shoe is stickier! Grippy, sticky and stiff enough to pedal. Super comfortable and the box has height. It's a winner.

I would definitely recommend huge difference on shoe flex

Love it way less knee pain and shoe flex over pedals is drastically less.

Stiff where it counts, but also easy to walk

I picked up a set of flats to go with these shoes and absolutely love the combo. The soles of these shoes stick like glue to the pedals and inspire lots of confidence when flying over technical sections. The soles are also stiff and put all the power into the pedals, no flex. They run true to size for length but they are a narrow fit and may be a bit tight for anyone with wider than average feet.

So sticky and styley

These shoes are amazing. They fit very well and look great, other flat shoes make my feet look wide. The stickiness is incredible, I thought I was clipped in on first spin. The green is even better in person. Fits true to size.

Use this on my Specialized Turbo Lev0 E-bike. Good stick on Chester pedals. Seem to be rugged enough to with stand off road abuse
