Full disclosure, I bought this on sale so I’m not reviewing a full ticket item. That said, I’m pretty happy with it. I run it as a rear with Butcher up front on a 160mm enduro bike Works very well on loose or loam. Decent on hard pack. The Grid casing is (compared to Maxxis) a little squirrelly if you don’t get the pressures right. That’s my only real complaint.

Love the tire. Have been running them as Rear tire, Front Butcher on my 160mm Chromag Hardtail. Great for all conditions. Good Traction , and rolls very well.

I'd give the tire a 4/5 overall, but 5/5 because of the insane value at the current sale price. Total cost for two tires + tax and shipping came to less than the asking price of a single one of several other popular tires. Riding 27.5 2.6's front and back for dry, dusty, and loose norcal summer conditions. These are replacing two worn 2015-era Nobby Nics, and the new grip with these makes me wish I had replaced sooner. They seem to have a similar tread pattern to the Nics, with about 50% more sidewall knobs, which really help in the corners. No complaints re: rolling resistance. I previously ran Butcher/Purgatory combos on older bikes, but I may end up sticking to Elims on the front based on the performance so far.

Love my 27.5 x 2.6 Elims! GRID sidewall is thinner than exo casing it replaced but not a problem for my 150lb body. I put these front and rear replacing worn out dhf /dhr2 combo. Absolutely recommend these in central/socal dry conditions. fast rolling, and great grip climbing and descending. Love the transition nobs as apposed to dhf. I run assegai and dissector on my enduro bike for reference, but I love this front and rear on my trail build. Could see running this rear with a butcher front for burlier setup. For the price I paid, I couldn't get beat these!

Replaced tire for more grip. Brakes better and skids less. Good price too.

I put this tire and Hillbilly BLK DMND on a Turbo Levo Comp ,The trail was a mix of hard pack, loose sand with some steep climbs that had rock steps and drops very good traction in all conditions even in the loose sand.

I have the 29x6 which when inflated to 22-23 is like 2.4. If i had it at 40psi such as seating the tire it actually does measure approx 2.6 GRID. Great tire and very versatile and grippy with surprising fast rolling attributes. I use it in the front in place of a butcher and pair it with a purgatory GRID rear. So far very good characteristic and of course with my suspension pretty dialed in shredding.

The bedding on the tire when I recived it was not right. The only reason that I give this 2 stars is because the tred is very nice. But if you can not use it because it is messed up you do not care how good the tred is. It would not set on my rim so it is useless.

I'll only give 3 stars as the tires grip is great. . . but I ordered them wanting a 2.6 tire. Maybe with a stretch they might be a 2.5, but a safe 2.4. Deceiving at best.

The Good: This tire's tread pattern and rubber compound provides great grip and confidence. The compound is durable showing little wear after 163 km. It rolls fast especially considering the traction on the trail. The Bad: The Grid casing is much different from previous iterations and should be called 2Bliss as it is very lightweight and has very little abrasion resistance. I can't recommend this tire for riders that ride trails that are rocky like in the desert southwest. This tire lasted 7 rides and 163 km before the trail destroyed it. The tread shows little wear but the casing proved far to fragile for the rocks on my trails.

This is a GREAT tire for lots of conditions. My favorite so far. I run the 2.6 as a front (thankfully it's closer to 2.45"" actual on a 30mm ID wheel) and it has insane traction (equal traction to the DHF 2.5 3c) while rolling quite well at a reasonable weight. If it's anything like my previous Butcher, it will last a really long time as well.

I've been running this as a rear tire in some of the toughest Fall and Winter conditions in the Northeast for about two months. Leaves, wet rocks and roots, mud, and some dry conditions as well. The tire performs very well in all conditions - it has incredible braking traction (very noticeable in wet slippery leaves!), it corners well, and rolls surprisingly fast considering how aggressively it performs!
