Runs narrow

Despite the "relaxed fit last" comment these run really narrow. I ordered a 1.5 sizes larger and they're still too narrow across the toe box. If you have wider feet, be aware. Otherwise, seemed decent out of the box, so a 3.

Ugly but perfect otherwise

Chose red sole to ‘spiff up’ otherwise theraputic-looking shoes. Warm and dry in most weather conditions so far. That was the goal.

Great Shoes

My rating is based off the on sale price I paid for, where the shoe is comfortable, stiff enough, and I don't feel anything weird after 20 mile ride. however, if I had to pay full retail, I'd wish the quality control can be better, where one of the area towards the heel wasn't glued properly between the "body" and the sole. It won't have any functionality issue, just doesn't look as good. Also, the shoe lace are kinda hard to pull tight, it does take more time to mess with it, but it all works in the end.

Solid shoes

The rubber is insanely grippy and they are super comfortable. The soul has vents too so the shoes don't smell really bad after a while. They seam really durable too. Overall a very good shoe

Get the BOA model

Good shoes but upper is quite stiff making them difficult to put on/take off. By coincidence I found a new pair of 2FO Clip shoes with BOA -- they're still stiff but the BOA closures make it easy to use!

Burly and stiff

I have these mated to some crankbros mallet e pedals. These feel quite burly. I’d say they’re supportive under pedal, but they’ve shown me that I prefer a little bit more pedal-feel. I feel they’re just too stiff for my liking. They breathe adequately, only during pauses under the AZ Sun do I feel like my feet are melting but this goes away as I start moving again. Fit was a bit alarming at first as they only felt okay while pedaling. I toyed with different lacing patterns and tension. After a while they “broke in” and was able to get back to a tension that I liked under heavy pedaling. Nary a mark to the exterior of these which is saying something considering all the rock AZ has. Sole has some decent marks on it from clambering over said rocks and clipping in and out. I wish the cleat tracks would go further back but these are some of the better shoes I’ve had in that regard.

Good shoe with weird looks

First time in a Specialized shoe and I’m very happy with the fit. Stiffness is good. Make sure to use the shoe size guide. The appearance of the shoes is weird from all angles but the side profile but the performance is there.

I was looking for a causal touring shoe, this fit well but for me a little to bulky . Quality of shoe was sturdy, seemed to be a good commuter shoe. I returned these and went for a different shoe for my tours.

Like your Favorite Blanky, but for your Feet!

I’ve been on a pair of these DH 2Fo Clips for a couple of years now and I absolutely love them. They are super cushy all around my bony feet, while offering plenty of arch support and what I can only describe as the seamless transfer of energy to my pedals. I recommend these shoes for DH and Enduro racing and off the bike, they offer plenty of traction to confidently scope your lines before dropping in! If it matters, they pair well with the Time Speciale 8 pedals like a fine wine and a soft ripe cheese, but just not as stinky, or maybe a hazy IPA and an artisan pizza (?). Fine then, come up with your own comparisons!

The reinforced lace eyelets, stiff

The reinforced lace eyelets, stiff sole, and toe protection make for a good shoe. It would be great to see some sort of gaiter feature around the ankle to keep rocks out and a dynamic power strap across the top of the foot to comfortable increase the retention the shoe the future.

A great shoe for bike

A great shoe for bike packing. The cleat finishes flush with the sole of the shoe. This makes walking about when off the bike easy. The semi rigid sole is rigid enough for long hours in the saddle, yet flexible enough the walk about in comfort. Another thing I like is how there are rounded edges especially at the sole edge. This makes pulling on my shoe covers a breeze when it gets wet and cold. It’s a must to keep your feet warm and dry on those wet cold days. Well done Specialized.

3Words: Light, Stiff, & Protective

Specialized sent me a pair of the 2FO DH to try out since I'm an Ambassador to the brand and I've been riding and racing on the ClipLite for 5 years and S-Works Recon for 7 which both shoes I love! I'm a US 10.5 so I ordered the EU 44 which translates to a US 10.6 and they fit great! First impressions are the 2FO DH are light, stiff, and protective. Even after Mounting the Time cleats on I was amazed how feather light they are. There are micro adjustment marks in the channel for the cleat alignment which is very convenient (put a small drop of oil on the threads so the screw doesn't cease up). I ran the cleats a bit more forward because there's plenty of room to do so, typically forward placement gives more sprinting power but make sure you're calves are ready! The cleats are buried into the channel in the sole so they didn't hit my hardwood floor when I ran into the house to get a water bottle. Going from the ClipLite's and Recon's BOA systems to the DH Lace Up I found more even distribution of pressure around the top of my foot. It reminds me of wearing my favorite skate shoe, as far as comfort goes, and the 2FO DH offers great protection while not limiting my ankle movement. Also, there's an elastic strap on the top to hold the laces in place and keep them from getting caught of stuff.
