2019 Stormproof Seat Pack – Medium

Great product.

Great bag. I have the medium. Probably 10-11 K miles use. Only beef, the Velcro closure strap is not adequate. I have to supplement with an additional strap. Early on (2 Nd or 3rd Ride EVER) it failed spilling the contents. Tried restrapping it... had to add an additional strap. Fix that and it's 5 star.

The shape and sizes of these bags are perfect. I have two the large and the small. I love the SWAT the attachment to my power saddle and the rattle free quick release clip. The smooth interior offers easy access for emptying. However, I have had problems with both bags coming open on gravel rides. the Velcro closure is not as secure as it needs to be and when it gets dirty from road spray it really looses it's grip. I can minimize the problem by keeping the Velcro clean and buy using a strap. I'd love to see a small improvement to the closure and then I would buy one for all my bikes and make all my friend by them too since I've convinced them all to buy power saddles.

This seat bag is larger than I prefer but I purchased it to carry extra tubes and CO2 for solo days on which help is not nearby for a phone call. The SWAT attachment system is much better than other integrated systems and saddle rail straps. I have two nits to pick, though. The included 10 mm screws are too long and can be felt as little bumps on top of the saddle. A lock washer from the local hardware store solve that but m5-0.8 x 8mm screws (ordered online with much research) work better and should have been included. This bag as well as the small version that I use on group rides protrudes pretty far behind the saddle. I prefer for my saddle bags to hide further under the saddle shell. I really prefer the weatherproof roll closure of this bag to zippers that don't play well with age and grit. Love the reflective back with taillight cut outs. Very good bag with a couple opportunities.

This pack is the ideal size for carrying a spare tube, two tire levers, two CO2 cylinders, a CO2 nozzle/applicator thing, and a multi-tool. The pack's roll-up closure is great because zippers always get crusty over time, and the SWAT attachment option as well as the attachment point for a tail light are nice features as well. AND NOW, A STORY: I'm currently using this pack with a Power model saddle, and the pack is attached to the saddle using the included SWAT bracket. However, I'm planning on testing out one of those newfangled ""noseless"" saddles next week, and the noseless saddle is not SWAT-compatible. No problem, since this pack comes with a strap for attaching the pack to non-Specialized/non-SWAT saddles, right? WRONG! I managed to misplace the strap! Luckily, Specialized has awesome customer support. I called their customer support number and explained my predicament, and not only did the very first representative I spoke with know the exact strap I was referring to, but she located one in the warehouse and said she'd put it in the mail before the end of the day. The whole phone call lasted maybe 3-4 minutes. Long story longer, I dig this seat pack, but what I dig even more is a company that treats its customers so well. Specialized, you've got a customer for life! Thanks a bunch!
