Sirrus X is your ticket to riding more, and to places you never imagined possible. It’s a comfortable, capable, 'let’s do stuff' kind of bike that will inspire you to ride more than you ever have before. With bigger, confidence inspiring tires, a slightly more upright riding position, a super intuitive one-by drivetrain, and plenty of mounts for racks and fenders —it’s more than just a solid partner on pavement. Sirrus X is a dialed option when it’s time to hit some gravel. We’ve also equipped every Sirrus X with next-level comfort from our scientifically tested and ergonomically engineered Shared Platform Body Geometry saddle, handgrips, and pedals. We equipped Sirrus X 4.0 with the revolutionary Future Shock to take the sting out of bumps and potholes. Here’s to your life on two wheels.

  • Future Shock 1.5 delivers 20mm of compliance to give maximum comfort and control over the rough stuff.

Great bike, excellent choice if you only have one

My last bike was an older model aluminum Canondale and it had been a while since I was spending much time on a bike. The Specialized Sirrus X 4.0 has made it fun again. I look forward to getting the bike out. Workmanship is exceptional (check the welds!).

Fantastic bike but.....

A lovely bike and I have no issues with it. Fast and can tackle most uneven roads in the UK. My issue is the frame cracked on my one and a warranty claim was accepted (via a dealer). It's nearly 3 months now and I'm still waiting for a replacement bike. Having no bike in the summer is painful even though it's been a terrible summer so far.

Love my 2nd Specialized, Sirrus X 4.0

From the first moment I picked up this bike, I was in love. Ditched my folding e-bike for the Sirrus X 4.0 and couldn’t be happier. I love my bike to do short commute and trail rides with it. It’s very comfortable even though I didn’t change the seat right away. I was worried my handling of the extra small frame as I am a short 5’ height female but dismounting and getting on bike is a breeze with this one. I used to have a Specialized carbon frame Stump Jumper from 1997 and owned it for 25 years and loved it then but I think I love this Sirrus even more. Enjoy the ride in my mid 50’s.

Chainring problem

I like the bike, it is first new one I have had in over 20 years but I am pretty disappointed because the chainring broke. I had to walk back home from my ride, fortunately I was only 2 or 3 miles away. I hope this is only a one time occurrence.

Nice light bike

Geometry and riding position suit me perfectly. Would like to have a larger chainwheel (42) but it can't be changed. Wonder why the front wheel right side spokes aren't laced properly. Fender mounts aren't very strong. Have had 3 break already, after1000km. and that's on sealed roads and streets (some a bit rough). Have made steel ones. Wheel bolts should be left hand thread when inserted from the left side. Other than that. Nice light bike. Len

Specialized Sirrus X 4.0 = Great Bike

I am happy with the choice I made. The Sirrus X 4.0 is a light and quick bike. I would have preferred a better component group set, compared to the Giant I was considering. So far the components are working very well, but will have to judge them after breaking the bike in more. I am impressed with Specialized. This is my second specialized bike. I purchased a MTB many years ago. It was also an awesome bike.

Very comfortable for slow casual rides, but Future Shock is horrible.

I bought the Sirrus X 4.0 and returned it within the 30 day window (Specialized with really good/fast with the return/refund, but the bike store tired to charge me an addtional fee, thankfully Specialized stepped in!). I liked the geometry of the Sirrus x 4, and for slow, level riding, it is very comfortable. However, if you go up hills, or increase the tempo in the slightest, the future shock and bars starts bopping up and down detracting from effeciency and handling. I actually felt unsafe with the Future Shock. The Future Shock is designed in a way that you are detached from the bars/steerer tube, so it is hard to gain leverage/torque on the pedals by pushing/pulling on the bars. With a normal fork based shock, you stay connected to the frame/pedals/bars so all the parts work in unison, but the Future Shock left me feeling out of sync with the bike.

Versatile bike with smooth ride

Purchased my first x4.0 six months ago and like every aspect of the bike. Relatively light and nimble and routinely ride 30 miles mostly on streets. The future shock and carbon fork absorb most bumps and the XL size fits my 6”6” frame well. I like the bike so much I just purchased a second one to keep at a lake house.

Super Happy with the Sirrus X 4.0

Really happy with the Sirrus X 4.0 in size Medium. I own and sold a Sirrus X 5.0 full carbon 2021 model and it was sweet bike but size large was too big. Medium is the sweet spot for me and I'm super happy to have a proper fit. This bike is agile and quick, love the future shock and SRAM drivetrain, my local Dealer CycleSmiths in Louisville, KY was knowledgeable and great to work with. I would highly recommend this bike for fitness, short to medium rides over mixed terrain.

Sirius X 4.0 - A Brilliant Bike

I've come from a mountain bike but the truth is I bought the wrong bike and I don't really do the mountain bike stuff any more (if I ever did), it's all roads, trails and dirt tracks and it was hard work keeping up with my pal on his hybrid. I did not want a full road bike and the gravel bikes all seem to have drop bars which I don't want either - enter the Sirrus X 4.0 - straight bars and geometry that makes it feel sharp, a bigger 40 tooth chainring up front and a 11-42t rear cassette gives more speed than my mountain bike ever could. I've had it for a couple of months now and I love it, its quick to turn, fast, agile, I started modifying straight away knowing it was a keeper, EESilk+ saddle stem (makes the overall suspension perfect-works brilliantly with the future shock) and a SunRace MX80 11-51t cassette cassette just made the whole experience perfect for me, but it could not have been done without the Sirrus X 4.0 being a brilliant base bike right out of the box.

Best all-around bike to get someone back on the road!

I used to be an avid mountain biker...15 years and 40 lbs ago! I wanted to get back into biking and started looking at hybrids as I still had my old Stumpy and wasn't ready to make the leap to a drop-bar road bike. The Sirrus X 4.0 hit the sweet spot for me; comfortable but still pretty quick. Smooth and easy to ride. I had thought about tossing out some extra $$ for the 5.0 or maybe the 6.0 but at my riding level that was overkill. This bike has been great to get me back on two wheels. I took it out for maybe the 2nd or 3rd time and ended up doing over 26 miles - and it didn't even feel like it! I just came home because it was starting to get dark and I didn't have lights installed yet. I love this bike and I'm looking forward to many happy miles together. PS - I'm 62 years old and just recently started getting back into shape (riding my Peloton and dropping over 50 lbs) and this bike makes me feel like a kid again. I'm kind of obsessed...

Obsessed!

I’ve been on a few rides, had the bike for a little over a month now and I’m absolutely obsessed! My only complaint is that it’s developed a “sound”. I can’t tell if it’s negative or if it’s just a “bike sound” but it’s there.

Outstanding!

Bought the bike about a week ago. Only a few rides so far, but my impression is I'm going to have this bike for a while! We live close to a well maintained bike trail in GA, paved and mostly flat. This will be a great bike for fitness and fun! I had my mind made up on a different bike/different brand, but when I test rode the Sirrus X 4 while my wife was being fitted at the bike store, the Sirrus blew me away. Lightweight, smooth, clean shifting, comfortable...it had it ALL! Changed the seat and pedals for a little more comfort (we're old, haha), and we hit the trail with 2 new Specialized bikes. Wife bought the Sirrus X 3 Step through. I normally patronize locally owned and operated businesses, and Cycology in Hiram,GA has such a great reputation (as do many in our area). Lucky to catch the bikes on sale, but the entire experience was top notch. Highly recommend.

Just what I was looking for!

So I’m getting back into biking. Used to ride mountain bikes in Colorado…but I’m a bit older now and wanted something I could ride on paved trails, light gravel, run errands, or commute on. My old Stumpjumper wasn’t the bike for that…but this Sirrus X 4.0 is! Light, nimble, smooth…it’s sure the sweet spot for an all-around bike for me. The component spec could maybe stand to be a bit better at this price point, but I can’t deny that it all works fine so far, and the brakes are better than I expected. The riding position is spot on and the Future Shock stem is awesome. I see myself logging a LOT of miles on this bike. PS - I kept my Stumpy but I get the feeling that the Sirrus will be the go-to bike most times. :-)

Looks Great! Rides Great!

The experience buying this bike was awesome I was able to go tot my local bike shop and check it out sit on it, etc... Then went online picked out the options I wanted and have it delivered straight to the bike shop. They assembled tuned and fitted the bike to me. I could have had free shipping to my house but I would have to assemble and tune it, etc. for $50 it was a no brainer to have it sent to my bike shop. I gave it 4 stars for one I haven't owned a bike this nice before so I don't know what to compare it to, but also the shifting seems like it could be a bit better at that price point. I think it is over shifting on some of the gears. It may just need adjusted and I am sure my bike shop will help me out with that, or maybe I will try and fiddle with it even. Regardless I really like the bike and my son likes his Sirrus X 2.0 just as much!

The future shock and carbon

The future shock and carbon fork are no joke. Zero wrist pain. Returned a competitor’s bike after a short ride caused a flare-up. No pain or numbness from my Sirrus X 4.0. Fantastic! Swapped the 38mm tires for tubeless 42mm. Would like to run fatter tires than 42mm and didn’t realize ahead of time of the lack of clearance seeing as it’s touted as a hybrid. No room for full fenders with the 42s. Otherwise, the SRAM drivetrain, KMC chain, Tektro brakes, etc., are all okay. No issues.

11 spd SRAM with boost!

because this fits a BSA 68mm bottom bracket, i just slapped on some 155mm Samox carbon cranks with a srab dub BB. shaved off nearly a pound.. and fwiw, 170mm cranks are too long for a 28" inseam. problem solved! now it's ready to Rock this was a replacement for a heavy '19 sirrus 2 i may trim down the bar width and install better brakes (hope, code rsc or magura mt8) other than the planned upgrades, the bike plain stock is a winner. all around town, fitness, 20 mile after work rides. good purchase, would recommend this rig.

Just as expected

This bike was my first since I was a kid. Bought it as my son has now learnt to ride and so I wanted something for small adventures with a 5 year old, but also to get back in to cycling myself. I love it, it’s great at being slow with the kids and it’s awesome for my commute and for weekend rides around 30miles on road, track and bridle ways. It’s perfect for what I needed- less speed, more exploring and getting off the roads whenever I can. Had a lot of fun already! Have had a puncture running these tyres at the lower end of the recommended pressure, so would only suggest 65psi +

What a fabulous bike!

I was glad to stumble onto the Sirrus X, as it was the perfect solution for a flexible bike that was suitable for pavement but also could handle some modest off-road riding as well. If I was a serious MTB rider who frequently tackled difficult and rough singletrack, this bike would not suffice, but for casual riding through the woods on multi-use trails, gravel, etc., it's perfectly fine. At the same time, it also functions well for riding on pavement, thanks to the cleverly-designed Pathfinder Sport tires (which have a moderate tread for offroad, with a smooth strip in the middle for pavement). I specifically chose the 4.0 because I like the FutureShock (which my road bike has as well). Other features I love are the simple 1x drivetrain (the 11 available gears provide sufficient range), the hydraulic brakes and the internal cable routing. It's a tremendously fun (and comfortable) bike to ride!

What a great ride

I have been riding a sirrus x 4 for about 18 months. Tremendous bike and I recommend it highly. Very little maintenance is required . Replaced rear tire after 3000 miles , had chain tightened at same time, that’s it. It’s great on bike paths and fine gravel . Even used it on some mountain bike paths. Works on every type terrain.
