Hey Folks, I purchased this product as the reviews were pretty amazing. It definitely took away all pain on the female parts, but now after one ride my sit bones are KILLING me! I can't ride the next day it's so bad. So feels like I traded one problem for another. I wouldn't recommend.
Super small, extremely hard. Not good enough.
I love this saddle. I ride this saddle on every bike I own: road, gravel and MTB. It's so comfortable, I never have numbness even after long days.
I was looking for a new saddle to relieve the fatigue after long days in the saddle. I ride about 100 miles every weekend with 60-70 in a single day. The Power Expert with MIMIC caught my eye, I was intrigued by the concept of cushion while offering support for soft tissue… I have not been disappointed. Indy Gear Girl
Specialized seats are great. I tried to find an equivalent to a 2018 Fuse fattie and this was pretty close. A little shorter in the front, but less seat to get you where you don’t want to be got! on a bike. Nice and squishy in the front and good comfort for the seat bones.
My usual saddles are WTB Rocket Team editions. But I got a new Specialized bike so I went with their brand of saddle. Once I got the position adjusted (slightly nose down) I found it t be perfect comfort.
Love this saddle. Don;'t even think about my bum during rides now. The only thing that limits my rides now is the burning in my legs, nowhere else.
Great saddle for women
Very comfortable saddle.
Overall comfortable good all round support. Could be better with thicker padding on sit bones.
It feels like there's nothing there. I had to feel to see if a seat was there bc it's so comfortable. I didn't have my usual numbness.
Perfect great design
I have been using these power saddles for six years and they are great. I use them on all of my steeds: road, gravel, cross, and MTB. The one I have just purchased is for my new fat bike exploration this winter. They don’t look comfy but if sized right, you will be good to go for miles and miles. Get yourself fitted for the right size at your local bike shop featuring Specialized products, you won’t regret it!
Power Expert with Mimic. I am a 75-year old male rider. Very comfortable, keeps places from getting numb.
Nearly twice the price of every other seat I tried, and worth every penny! No more pain while riding. The varying levels of cushion and firmness in different areas are awesome. Side note I did the sit on cardboard sizing test and the smaller size was recommended, however the large size was the only one in stock so I purchased it and have been very happy.
Was having issues with saddle sore using my Romin Evo. Swapped out my Romin Evo fir this seat and haven't had an issue since. Very comfortable and pain free!
I was reluctant to buy this because it was labeled as a women's seat. I'm glad my Local shop talked me into it. I am finally comfortable. The Marketing team should really consider labeling this as universal! I went through a couple of men's power seats and continued to suffer soft tissue irritation. This was noticeably better at the start and really shined after a long ride. Highly recommend for MEN!
Have this saddle on all my bikes. Very comfortable saddle
The front MIMIC part of the saddle is incredibly comfortable. The rest is a bit firmer/less cushioned than I would like and am considering passing it along to my husband.
This seat is incredibly comfortable. I have the same shape without the mimic padding, and I've loved using that one for a few years, but this one is even better!
Don't believe the hype... this seat is the best men's saddle I've been on. Have one on my cross country bike and one on my enduro bike! Was nervous about the small size but once on it, you'll never notice. Great saddle, highly recommend for all.
During an expert bike fitting with a doctor of physical therapy, I discovered my old saddle was worn out. This new saddle is magical! Perfectly stiff, supports where you need it, and the length, an inch shorter than my old saddle, is somehow freeing and crazy-comfortable. Couldn’t love it more!!!
I have the Ruby 155 on all my bikes and have loved it for years. But when I needed a new saddle I chose the Mimic and so glad I did! I was hesitant to try it for a long weekend of riding in Moab, but it was so comfortable after the first ride I thought it was too good to be true. I never had any issues with comfort, sit bone soreness, or the need to adjust to a new saddle. I going to buy this saddle for all my bikes!
It has been a great adjustment for my hips to go up to a 155 saddle. The soft cutout is gentle on the perineal area for long-riding.
For five years now, we've been looking for saddle to work for my wife on her Specialized Ruby. The factory one was uncomfortable right from the start and the bike shop switched it out at purchase with a MTB style specialized one. My wife could ride on that one for about 10 miles before pain would set in. After much discomfort she graduated to a Terry style saddle. It was marginally better increasing the rides to 15 - 20 miles. Still the pain and even swelling made cycling a four letter word. When Specialized came out with the Mimic, I researched it and read reviews on it for a year before crossing my fingers and getting it as a birthday gift. Let's just say the look on her face was most skeptical to say the least. We've now done two rides, the last one being 20 miles and there was no pain compared with what she experienced with the previous ones. We will slowly ease into longer rides to get seat time, but she's a happy rider once again! I think the engineering on this one is really dialed in for the woman's specific body frame. I went with the widest width based on her Terry dimension and set it to the fit dimensions she got from the bike shop. We'll see how it does over time, but so far it's thumbs up from the rider!
I really love this saddle. I was, however, moving from five years with a Brooks C17 which has ... no padding but a reasonable cut out. My only initial issue with the Power Expert was the nose of the saddle - it just rubbed a bit more because the Mimic had a little more contact. After a two 30-40 mile rides (and some chamois cream) I decided I really liked this saddle. Did a metric century shortly after: NO hot spots, no discomfort.
All about that comfort! The memory foam at the nose of the saddle is a total game changer for long rides. I switched from the regular Power Saddle to the Mimic, and couldn't be happier!
Its very Comfortable
The memory foam at the front of the saddle makes longer rides so much more comfortable. When leaning forward for a climb or sitting for long straight - aways, I don't feel the need for a break or adjustment like when riding with other saddles. It's also a low profile like the other power saddles and thus is super comfortable.
I have always battled discomfort on the many many saddles I've tried. The men's power was so popular that I gave it a try only to have the same pinching/pain that I get in all saddles with cutouts due to the hardened rim around the cutout. I decided to give the women's power a shot and the pinching problem was solved, yet it still offered the pressure relief of a cutout. I'm actually very impressed and was happy to still feel comfortable in the saddle at the end of a recent 60 mile ride.
I didn't want to like this saddle because it was so darn expensive, but I gotta say, it's the best saddle I've ever owned. I've been riding for >20 years and have tried every brand out there. I've never had many fit issues, per se, but I usually get pressure points during long climbs. No more with this saddle. It's padded enough to be comfy but still provides a firm platform. I ride MTB and the only downside is that my rear tire buzzes the saddle when my suspension fully compresses. Otherwise, it really is the perfect saddle.
Been riding Power Saddles for two years and will ride no other saddle. When my favorite California bike shop recommended I try the Mimic when visiting in February, I purchased and have been riding on my gravel-bike since. So, I'm enjoying the shape and fit of the Power family and benefiting from less pressure with the softer nose and filled-in channel keeping my backside much cleaner on muddy gravel-roads. Awesome saddle!
Very comfortable compared to the male saddle I inherited...I'm glad I upgrade...love the color I'm inspired to ride again!
Not comfortable. Increased the pressure on my sits bones.
The seat fits flawlessly; I am 5'4"" tall 110 lbs 56 years old. No soreness or numbness. Well designed product (200 miles so far)
I have finally found the saddle for me! Wide enough for my sit bones, soft enough up front and no numbness!
I tried this saddle after a shop owner offered to give it to me for free if I did not like. I have always riden ladies saddles but still had a lot of pressure in sensitive areas. I cannot believe the difference with this saddle. Thank you specialized for finally solving the sore lady bits issue. I will be buy 2 more for my other bikes.
I'm thinking I really like this saddle! Of course, have only been on my bike trainer but it feels good! This is the 1st saddle in 7 years that I can say is comfortable.
I wish the back end kept flaring wider in the back. The trend towards chopping off the back corners means that the sit-bones slide off the saddle and weight is transferred to the sensitive crotch. I would like the width to increase to 7.25"" for those of us with wider spaced bones who still want a performance saddle. (Versus the heavy well padded initiate's saddle) Please redesign!!!!
I was given a new Power Saddle with MIMIC technology from Specialized as part of the Specialized Ambassador program. I put this saddle on my Diverge and have put in over 20 hours on the saddle, so far. I have ridden both road and gravel on this saddle and WOW! is it ever comfy! I actually forget that my butt (and other parts) are on a bike saddle. It's easy to forget that you are sitting on a saddle for hours at a time. I feel my seat bones in contact with the saddle but not in an uncomfortable way. The other soft parts are floating on a cloud. This is so comfortable, that I bought two more for my other bikes. Ladies...you're gonna love this saddle!
I ride mountain bikes and rode this saddle up hills, on smoothe flowy trails along with my favorite technical trails. I love it. The Power Saddle with Mimic was a little getting used to for me. As with my other saddle I kinda teetered between my sit bones and my crotch. This saddle has me on my sit bones with no pressure on my crotch. At first I would put my fingers between the saddle and my shorts to see if everything was still all there, yep it was still all there, the saddle...my crotch haha. I haven't even worn a chamois with this saddle. I could use a little padding at my tush but it seriously feels nice not to wear a chamois and no pressure on the vagina. I noticed less pain in my lower back but could feel the muscles working moreso in my hamstring with this new position for me. Which ultimately I could feel power was generating not only from one muscle but being driven by the proper positioning on the saddle because of the saddle. This saddle keeps the lips between my hips happy The saddle does look a bit odd. The nose is a lot shorter and the back of the saddle looks to be a lot wider (but it's not really, and just looks that way). I'd recommend having the saddle applied by your Specialized dealer because of the length compared to the traditional saddle. Acid Lava is NOT red. It's more of a glowing fluorescent orangish pinkish color.
From my first moment on the saddle it was comfortable. Literally forgot all about the saddle when riding... it sounds strange to say but the technology of making this saddle is incredible for you to feel like it's not even there. Amazingly comfortable & if you are comfortable you can put out more watts by being uncomfortable someplaces elese - like your lungs & legs😄
I cannot stress or express how much this saddle has impacted my riding. I've alway ignored the swelling and discomfort, chalking it up to riding too long or my fit. However, it always sat in the back of my mind that I shouldn't have to ride this way. First ride out was like magic. Mimicagical. For the first time in my riding career I could ride back to back days without sit bone, numbness, tingling, swelling, etc. You know what I'm talking about ladies. The second day felt just like the first day. This is made for you. Now Specialized can say #mimicsavingrelationshipssince2018. You won't regret it.
I have been riding for 28 years and had just ignored the pain and numbness and would stop now and then on rides for relief. I just rode this new saddle today and I had no numbness or discomfort over 9 miles of climbing my MTB. It took a couple of tries to find the angle. I usually angle the nose down , so that I can get my sit bones onto the back. With the Mimic the curve is really perfect for me. I lined it up horizontal and and as described my sit bones were supported. As for the channel , or mimic technology.....I'm so happy...no pressure and no numbness...I usually spend the first 30 mins of the ride squiggling around trying to get comfortable. It's a game changer and I would highly recommend. Good going Specialized!!!!!
Loving the new mimic saddle. The cushioning system works so well I didn't even give a thought about the saddle on my first ride. By far the most comfortable saddle I've ridden and just wide enough for us women riders.
