The Lightest

The Lightest

18.4% lighter than the closest competitor. Thanks to D’Aluisio Smartweld, Chisel boasts the lightest aluminum XC frameset in its class. Each highly-manipulated tube features varied wall thicknesses and shaping that make it lightweight and incredibly strong.

Most Capable

Most Capable

With 110mm of Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, the high performance pedigree of Chisel is traced directly to the Epic 8, our World Cup race machine. DNA from the Epic 8, like advanced kinematics, Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, and progressive geometry can all be found in the Chisel.

Incredibly Efficient

Incredibly Efficient

Utilizing geometry and kinematics that went into our Epic 8 platform, the Chisel is incredibly efficient. A steep seat tube keeps the rider in an optimal pedaling position. Honed anti-squat reduces pedal-bob. Every watt to the pedals translates to forward motion.

D’Aluisio Smartweld

D’Aluisio Smartweld

D’Aluisio Smartweld delivers the highest strength at the lowest weight by using hydroformed tube junctions that allow us to move the joint away from the area of the highest stress and create a “valley” for the weld bead to lay in.

The Lightest, Fastest Alloy Full Suspension Bike in the World. 18.4% lighter than the closest competitor and sharing geometry and kinematics from our World Cup ready Epic 8 mountain bike, the all-new Chisel delivers performance you can feel—whether you’re racing “between the tape” or ripping solo hot laps on local trails.

SPEED METAL: Thanks to D’Aluisio Smartweld, the Chisel boasts the lightest aluminum XC frameset in its class. Each highly-manipulated frame tube features continuously-varied wall thicknesses and shaping that deliver stiffness where you need it - for efficiency - and ride-smoothing compliance where you want it - for comfort and optimal control.

UNMATCHED CAPABILITY: With 110mm of Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, the high performance pedigree of Chisel can be traced directly to the Epic 8, our World Cup race machine. DNA from the Epic 8’s advanced suspension kinematics, Ride Dynamics tuned suspension, and progressive geometry honed on technical World Cup courses can all be found in the Chisel, making it more than capable of handling varied terrain with confidence and speed.

INCREDIBLE EFFICIENCY: Chisel is the most efficient pedaling bike in its class, thanks to the utilization of geometry and kinematics that went into our World Cup racing Epic 8 platform. The steep seat tube positions the rider in the optimal pedaling position. Honed anti-squat reduces pedal-bob. Put it together and Chisel translates every watt applied to the pedals into maximum forward motion.

SMOOTHER IS FASTER: We engineered a flex stay rear end for class-leading suspension performance, while eliminating the extra weight and maintenance associated with pivots required in a traditional design. More common on carbon bikes, extensive field and lab testing prove that Chisel has achieved the impossible—the efficiency, control, and light-weight of a flex stay design, in advanced alloy.

HYDROFORMED ALLOY: Chisel shaves extra material and weight with a one-piece hydroformed seat tube that integrates the seat tube pivot, main pivot, and BB shell. On a more traditional bike, the seat tube is typically just a "tube" with pivots and BB shell welded on.

Oh man this bike is amazing!

Last year I purchased a 2023 Scott Spark. I sold it because it didn't feel right despite upgrading the fork. I have gone through many bikes over the years. This Specialized Chisel has been an amazing bike. I've taken it on xc and down country trails. It handles climbs, descents, rock gardens, and small drops with ease. It is blazing fast! It's the fastest bike I've ridden to date. I have a really technical 3.5 mile trail in my backyard and I have been doing time trials on it for 5 years. I beat my best time by a minute and a half on this bike. I also raced my first endurance 50 mile MTB race and it rocked. I love all the attachment points and how light the bike is. I got the Shimano version and upgraded the fork to SID. Unless you get paid to race this is your bike. It keeps up and performs wonderfully. Can't recommend enough!

Excellent Cross Country Bike

Some bikes feel like a collection of components. This bike feels like everything is in harmony with every other part. It's fast on the flat and superb on descents even technical ones. I'm faster everywhere compared to my previous bike. Pedalling is really efficient particularly when climbing. It eats bermed cross country sections and has razor sharp steering. My only complaint is the rear shock which doesn't lock out as it should.
