I bought this product and it has worked amazing and my water bottle never falls out and I love it. It also does not break the bank when getting into mountain biking. Would definitely recommend
Broke when inserting water bottle this morning. Nice cage while it worked for just over a year. Would not recommend.
Product exactly as described, light, fit with bike color! Delivered quickly!
It firmly holds the bottle with a nice tight secure fit
Looks nice and a decent cage for summer months but becomes brittle in colder temps. I had one for years worry-free, but I would put the bike away in fall and take it out in spring. This year I rode through the winter and it has broken three times just reaching for the water bottle. It might just be a problem with plastic cages in general I don't know since I have never ridden in the cold but this one is not good in the cold at all. I might upgrade to carbon or titanium for my next one.
Bought four. Two for under saddle and two for frame. The swat setup is great. I had these about a month when two broke on a 40 miler. Once over a train track one way and another the other way. Don't remember where the third broke and have one left with the tool in it. Going to replace them. For $25 I'd expect it to last more than a month lol
very quick delivery
Great, looking cage that is well-made. Holds the bottle really snuggly. It’s a little more difficult to get the bottle in the cage than some other cages I have used.
Lightweight, lock the bottle in solid so no concerns of bottles coming loose. Got the black and silver and the design is pretty cool too. 10 out of 10 recommended.
The water bottle fits a little too snug and sometimes a little difficult to get out when riding. I have a camelbak podium water bottle and it definitely won’t fall out on a rough road. Cage well made and excellent quality.
Does the job; holds the water bottle. Though I will say the fit is a bit snug when trying to take out the bottle during rides. I’d rather that than have it too loose though so it all works out. Color is black and glossy, but not overly so. Great price for a good holder.
I was so happy to put this on my son bike it is nice and sleek looking, holds the water bottle well until after a month of use the cage broke right on the top, I guess the plastic is not hard enough or susceptible to the elements sun and outdoors but that will be defeating the propose of your bike Very unfortunate because I have not found a cage that looks this good, but can not find myself buying another one and wasting another $20
Reliable, basic bottle cage. After over 1 month of usage, hasn't experienced what many comments stated about the cage cracking/breaking (fingers crossed).
Looks great, holds the bottle tight.
Strong and bottle never falls out.
I was super excited about this bottle cage. The color scheme matched very well with my bike and I couldn't have been happier. My bottle fits perfectly in it and I was able to remove the bottle from both sides. After my third ride, however, the bottle cage snapped at the "wishbone" when pulling my bottle out from the right side. If it didn't look as good as it did on the bike, I wouldn't have given it 2 stars. Wish it wasn't so brittle.
Cages are as thankless as water bottles themselves however these are really great. They hold bottles very securely without making it hard to get a bottle out while riding. Their light, durable and have an unobtrusive and modern design. The best part is that they don't scratch or otherwise mar water bottles the way some other cages will.
Holds most bottles ok but not tight.
Feels very resistant and looks great
Run these on every bike I have. Road, gravel, e bike, and they are the best I’ve never lost a bottle on any terrain they definitely are my favorite cages ever and they look sleek also.
This cage does the job. Looks good and is functional. I did have one break but all others a have held up well.
Nice looking design, and very comfortable to get out and put in bottles. BUT! Very fragile. Not suitable for SWAT under saddle mounting. I've broken more than 4 of such bottles hitting light bumps on the road. I never complained to Specialized, but may be I should!
A bike I borrowed for a quick ride had this cage on it and I loved how my water bottle snapped in so securely into it. I came here to buy one and saw some of the reviews about the cage breaking easily due to its "wishbone" design, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. Bad idea, snapped in half on the second ride as I was pulling my water bottle out. Lesson learned I guess -- don't get a bottle cage that secures your bottle from the front; if you pull your bottle up at at all while you're getting it out, the cage just snaps.
Ordered this with my new bike. Upon pick up it was installed and ready to roll. Looks great on my new Sirrus X 4.0!
After buying many different bottle cages for my bike, I ended up to this. It is well made, strong and lightweight. The bottle does not rumble over rough roads as it gets snugly griped by the cage. I can remove and replace the bottle with ease and a bot sideways in my small (49) sized frame. It is perfect, I love it!
Fits great design allows great bottle access shipping was fast honestly one of my better buys
Looks great, seemed like it'd work well but it broke on my first ride pulling the bottle out. Material is too brittle for the purpose. The paint also is already worn off in quite a few places which is pretty crazy since the bottle went in and out maybe 5-10 times on this ride. Been running specialized gear and bikes for over a decade but this one is a fail.
Good value, quality and strong material.
Great price and quality. The cage is snug and retains bottles on bumpy roads.
Bought two, one for each mount. One snapped on the first long ride. Tried to be extra careful inserting and removing the bottle on the remaining mount, which I should not have to do while riding on gravel roads, as I really have more important things to focus on, but alas the second one snapped as well. It did make it about a month. On the plus side, they look nice. Nice addition to your bike as long as you don't want to use them. Or if you stop when you need a drink and gently remove and insert your bottle.
Love the look. Loved that they grab the bottles (podiums) tight, though that took some getting used to. On a group ride this weekend, exactly 4 weeks of near-daily use after installing them, I pulled out my bottle and "snap." Broken in two spots. The cage still worked the rest of the ride and I never lost a bottle, but I'm very disappointed.
Lightweight, sturdy, great quality and design.
These cages are designed like a wish bone and are prone to break. If you are riding hard, you're going to be pulling up on the bottle to get it out of the cage. The material isn't flexible or strong enough to withstand regular use.
Have the original Rib Cage bottle cages on my 2011 Roubaix SL2 with 36,000 miles. A little beat up, but they still work great. Bought the Rib Cage II for my new Roubaix RB20. Light, easy to use, and should last forever.
Muy buenos, retencion perfecta de las botellas, estética impecable
Well constructed.
looks great, but is very snug
I have one with a vault for holding my stuffs while I'm riding and it works a charm.
Functional and trendy !
nicely fit on bike frame.
Held my bottles in place when other cages did not.
All these are awesome! I have had no issues with anything I ordered and will order more for sure!
Love this simple design. They hold my bottles securely without any rattling. I use them on all of my bikes (road and gravel).
Light weight. Nice tight fit. A bit on the fragile side.
Great look on silver bike
Just ok nothing special. Kind of hard to get bottle in while riding.
It holds the bottle securely. It can also easily be removed on the fly for use.
Blue color matches my Sirius 40 perfectly and really holds bottle in place
Luv this stealth holder, fits the bill !
Good holder, gets the job done
Put these on my Diverge. They have a super tight grip. Which is kinda hard to grab out on certain situations but the reason I got them is to keep my bottles in place and not bounce out, so they definitely do what I wanted them to do!
Great cages
Not much to say. It does what it should. It fits on bike and holds the bottle. It hasn't fallen off yet.
Good for standard bottles.
Good product
I use Camelbaks and ELITE 980 mL bottles and these always work a treat. They're a bit stiff in the beginning but mine softened up a tiny bit and now they're fantastic. I really don't understand how you could break these unless you're doing something you're not supposed to be doing...
I replaced my old school, classic alloy cage with this modern design. This cage definitely holds the bottle more snugly. No more rattling.
Only a few rides in but so far so good. Hold the bottles firmly and feel secure etc. Love the matte colour - matches the colour way on the bike.
Read some bad reviews about this product, but still bought it after reading other reviews, and how chuffed I am I did.To put it simple this product is faultless. Great value for money and looks really good, use it properly and it will last a lifetime.
I bought two of these in July of 2020 for my Cannondale road bike. 4,812 miles later and no issues with them whatsoever. I've seen the reviews of them shattering and breaking, but I haven't had one issue with mine. Also, they look good on my BBQ frame might I add.
This was a great, lightweight bottle holder while it lasted, unfortunately the top of it snapped after only 6 months of use (on city roads!) and now it's unusable.
Saw reviews saying it broke, i have 3 of these, on my epic mt bike, tarmac road bike and my diverge gravel bike, have had 2 of them 3 years and never a issue with breaking or water bottle coming out and my riding is aggressive.
Nice looking, but cracked so it doesn't hold the bottle as firmly.
Just cracked with 600 ml single bottle. Potentially it wouldn't happen if I used it on reserve rack side mount, but faced down single mount failed.
I bought two cages to go with the rear seat mount. The cages seem to be a little two small. It holds the bottles super tight but using them is very hard. The very first time I put my bottles in the cages one the the cages cracked. Broke on first use. Tight to get them in and very hard to pull them out. Not sure if I want to replace it with the product.
I am very disappointed with this iteration of Rib Cage. The old model had open wider back (useful if your frame has additional stuff mounted), it was a perfect blend between holding bottle firmly and allowing to insert bottle. This one has narrower back (not a deal breaker, but still a regression) but what much worse it holds bottle like in vice. It seems to Specialized inserting and pulling out bottle are secondary considerations, I should ride with bottle around without using it. Taking the price such a big step back gives the one possible outcome -- I don't recommend it, stick with older version, it is much better product (I sure regret I bought it, I assumed such basic thing as a cage can only be improved, far from truth).
