The Status 160 may be an all-new bike, but it’s really an all-new way of thinking about how to have the most fun possible on two wheels—even if that means they’re different sizes.

A 29-inch wheel offers up maximum cornering traction and roll-over capability in front while a 27.5 inch wheel out back brings with it shorter chainstays—and the party. Paired together with our playful Mixed Wheel-Size Trail Geometry the result is capital-F fun. Park-stomping, trail-slashing, getting-jibby-with-it fun.

We rounded out the Status 160’s fun-first frame with everything you need to keep the party going—big brakes, an X-Fusion Manic dropper post and Fox’s FLOAT 36 Rhythm Fork paired with a FLOAT X Performance shock, all brought together by the active, planted feel of our FSR suspension platform.

  • Focused on fun and featuring our Mixed-Wheel Trail Geometry, the Status frameset is a fewer frills, all thrills FSR delivery system crafted from our hard-charging—and hard-wearing—M5 alloy and is designed not only to take a hit, but keep asking for more.

  • Fox’s FLOAT 36 Rhythm calls their venerable Grip damper into service in the name of adventurous riders everywhere, offering impressively controlled travel with plenty of trail-feel that puts confidence on speed dial. The two-position Sweep adjustment ensures the FLOAT 36 Rhythm is right at home dealing out its 160-millimeters of travel in just about any environment while 36-millimeter stanchions promise plenty of stiffness for precise handling at the limit.

  • Quality suspension unlocks some serious free speed, so to slow it all down, we tasked SRAM’s proven Code R brakes with stopping duties. Forged four-piston calipers offer serious stopping power, while 200-millimeter rotors on both ends of the bike promise plenty of fade-free bite when it matters.

Just awesome

I bought a Status 160 new size S5 in early July 24. Since then I've had it on some challenging intermediate trails and at the bike park doing some jump and huck work. I absolutely love this bike. For the money, it's outstanding, the kit good enough for some serious business. The geometry is long and with short chain stays, which makes it very forgiving when doing jumps, and hopping off and rolling down things. It's less great at being super agile up hills and cross country, but who cares, I'll take the trade off and the Get Out Jail Free card for the downhill stuff. I love the mullet, I think this does improve cornering. I'm 6'1, 81kg, 50 yrs old. S4 would have probably worked ok too, but S5 is fine. The brakes and suspension are brilliant. People fuss over the wheels a bit, no issues for me. This is a big burly bruiser.

Awesome bike, bad drivetrain chois

The bike rips, but the sram nx derailleur is really loud and allows the chain to scratch the rims and frame behind the chainring.

Not Great, Not bad

3 months of having this bike, needed a replaced derailleur, new spokes and nearly a new wheel. Couple days ago now, Derailleur broke mid ride again, wheel got bent and something is wrong with the axle. Cassete is also falling apart and same as hub/freehub. It is marketed as a "Budget" Trail bike and you can definitely see why as the lack of drivetrain is not amazing. Also very hard to pedal uphill with the mullet but thats not a prominent issue. On the flipside, Suspension is quite good and I like the stock Deity grips and Sram code R brakes.

amazing really good value

the status was amazing especially as it was 3000 aud and on the up hills its not as good but this is the best valued enduro bike in the market with fox suspension and the nx drivetrain as long as you keep lubing the chain every 5 rides it rides pretty smoothly

Awesome and just fun

Probably my favorite bike I’ve rode. Not a bike for someone who has flatter trails or wants a fast fast race build, but it does get up to fast speeds and is stable but feels great on jumps too. I would recommend for anyone.

Some good some bad

The bike handles downhills great ! But don't expect the same performance on climbing. My only only real gripe against the bike is the nx derailleur is terrible, as soon as the trail gets rough expect your chain to be dropped without fail

The most fun I’ve had in years

This thing is incredible. Purchased at an astoundingly cheap £1999 this thing rides like a £4000 bike, the downhills are run and easy going and although the climbs during technical sections can be a little tricky this absolute machine FLIES on the way back down. Impressive brake and suspension set up make this the perfect bike for beginner to intermediate riders. Great on jumps too! (Shame about the torn ACL I had after two weeks of shredding) Thanks specialized! Big ❤️

Phenomenal Value !

This bike is such good value for money! It has been extremely capable at everything I have thrown at it from 30ft jump line's to steep tech trails. The bike has always felt completely stable and durable. It's a perfect platform to start with, and with few upgrades over time you'll have a ripper of an enduro bike!

Great downduro bike

Not a great trail bike if u plan to pedal a lot but amazing for mostly downhill laps. Only 4 stars becuase of the weak and really heavy wheels. Had a spoke break in the first couple rides and the wheels got very dinged up very quick. Dropper cable housing got torn apart inside the frame within a month of riding too. If the wheels were better it would be 5 stars without a doubt. Amazing bike overall. I would recommend just not if u plan to pedal it a lot.

Awesome bike

The bike feels weird when riding it on the sidewalk, because of the agressive geometry, but it really rides well when going downhill. It handles drops and jumps extremely well. The suspension soaks up the big hits, and is also really good on the chattery stuff. It also corners really well. Haven't noticed any front wheel pushing or drifting when going downhill. Climbing it is fine. The chainring is too big for climbing for me. Need to change it to a 28t from the 32t. I also have a StumpJumper comp carbon, and prefer to take this bike to the bike park over the SJ. Still love the SJ though.

Best So Far

Was trying to decide between this bike and a Trek Fuel. Very Glad I chose the Specialized. Have the 160 S3. I feel like it has definitely made me a more confident rider and pushed me to be better and more confident when I'm on the trails or the dirt jump bike parks.

Ive had this bike for over a year my only complaints are that the wheels are really kinda trash I put about 3 good sized dents in the rear wheel in the first two months with cush core and 28 psi.

Amazing fun bike

Bought this bike at the start of the as my first true double-suspension bike. So far I am very pleased with how the bike is performing. Going downhill is where this bike truly shines. It's so fun while going down and the mullet setup works well. My only few complaints about the bike are that it's a little harder to go up (not terrible just not great) and maybe a nicer drivetrain (the clutch system on NX Eagle isn't great). I recommend this bike to anyone who plans to go to their local bike park having in mind going down. Very fun bike to ride.

Amazing build for the money

This bike has never let me down. I've owned it for 9 months and everything is perfect for some fairly aggressive riding especially at Northwoods Trail. This is plenty of bike to ride every blue and green trail out there. Haven't ventured further but it's all there and has been a great tool for having fun out on the trails.

Bought this bike in spring of 2022 and no regrets. Ran it first park season with only changes being pedals and dhf/dhr tires. Over the winter I swapped the fork for an upgraded Yari 180 27.5, single speed conversion, removed the dropper and upgraded the brakes to hs2 SRAM rotors with mtx gold pads. This thing’s a weapon

Super fun, best value even with upgrades

Reviewed this before. Now after about 2 years of ownership, still blown away by this thing as it is such a versatile bike. Tight tech to chairlift runs. For me I upgraded to the following: -GRIP2 damper -CC DB Kitsuma Air -GX derailleur Total price including bike, $6219 AU. Nothing else comes close for the price and I prefer this bike anyway. Descends fast and playful, easy hucks, pops and with the upgraded shock, climbs like a hardtail on climb setting.

Amazing enduro/park bike

I’ve had my status since February. The status is amazing through large flowy park jumps, as well as steep loamy downhills. I ride an s4. I am 5’9 and have a medium build. Reach feels fine to me, although it’s much longer than my Scott Genius. If you can I recommend upgrading the stock nx drivetrain as soon as you get it. as long term durability on the drivetrain is nonexistent if you ride big hits. Overall I love this bike, and plan on keeping it for years, as the frame is bombproof.

What a unit!

This thing is everything people are saying about it. It's a very confidence-inspiring bike, tons of fun to whip around the bike park. The Status 160 feels at home in the air or on the ground. The Status 160 is a trailduro bike focused on being good on down hills and jump lines, and while a lot have said it's no good on XC or uphill they are mostly wrong. It's certainly harder to take uphill but it's doable with a little more effort than a XC-focused bike. The bike is heavy but feels very durable, I'm 5'7" and 250lbs the S3 is solid and a good fit for me, I could have sized down to the S2 for a more playful bike but this bike is my everyday single stable bike so I needed it to be something I could take to local trails as well as the bike parks. Overall I would buy this bike again and again.

Best Bang for Buck

I gotta say that this bike is a total riot when you point it downward. I hit some nasty roots, ruts, rocks, gnar, and everything imaginable here in the PNW. This bike just charges through it all. This bike lets me change directions very easily due to the chainstay/MX setup. I definitely appreciate it! I also installed Butcher T9 Gravity tires on my Status. Those tires pair up perfectly with the Status if you are a gravity rider or love to bomb down some enduro/DH style descents. Only minor complaint is the climbing. For me, the climb was challenging on this bike. It's not a huge concern. It's extra exercise. The ability to rail anything pointing downward completely trumps the bike's climbing characteristics!

Great bike!

I love this bike. It's very fun and on my first few rides I took off ~5% of my previous downhill PRs (I suspect this will only get better as I get more comfortable with the bike). All the positive things people say about it are true. To address a few of the negative things I read in reviews when deciding to buy the bike: 1. The rear tire casing. I haven't had any issues with tearing sidewall and have ridden some rock gardens aggressively. But I weigh 140 so YMMV. 2. The pedaling platform. I'm coming from a hardtail and haven't found this to be an issue at. all. It doesn't bob noticably in the saddle and only slightly when standing up. I've actually cleared some climbs on it that I never could on my Fuse due to the increased traction. 3. The short chainstay impacting cornering balance. Again I haven't had any issues with this at all, if anything I'm drifting my front less in flat corners on this bike than previously. If you're a pro Enduro racer maybe this would be an issue for you but if you're not trying to shave milliseconds in corners I wouldn't worry about it.

Overall not terrible..

It's not terrible. However the pedal strike is beyond annoying. If you buy one buy 16m cranks or 165mm. It rolls quite slow and if you buy a s5 it's crazy long so doesn't corner tight stuff amazingly. The top tube is really high which is uncomfortable. It doesnt climb very well. Definitely shop about before buying one. Or spend a bit more and get a specialized enduro..

Fun on a budget!

I can't compare it to other bikes as it's my first MTB. I can however, say it's incredibly capable. Though I've not ridden MTB's very much, I did race mx at a fairly high level. If you're an experienced mountain biker you likely know what you're looking for. On the other hand if you're new to it like I am and looking for a bike you can take down some pretty aggressive jump lines and upgrade as you progress, this one gets it done. Well worth the money spent. The only real negatives I've found over the last month or so is you can't get bike specific frame armor for it. I had to make my own out of kydex. There's really not much aftermarket support or even Specialized parts you can add to it. I also think a UDH would be a better derailleur hanger option. While theres nothing inherently wrong with the one that's on it sourcing replacements for the UDH is much easier. I spent the better part of 2 months researching and studying builds and for the money (especially the $2249 sale price I paid) there aren't many others that compete component for component.

Best Bike for the Price out there

This bike is an amazing bike. I ride a Santa Cruz Bronson and my friend has a Status 160. We swapped bikes for a day. There was almost no difference in riding performance besides for weight and the tires. This bike surprised me with the specs for how much he got it for. Even without the budget this would be the best bike for somebody that wants to race or take mountain biking to the next level but you do not have a sponsorship or money to buy an expensive bike like a carbon bike. This bike can and will hold up and doesn't have any issues. I would strongly recommend this bike to anyone that wants a good full suspension bike that will last. This bike was meant to be ridden hard and do enduro and freeride park style rider. It is a good quality bike. Yes, I like my Santa Cruz more, but if I couldn't afford it, this would no doubt be the bike for me. This is the bike that won't break the bank.

Great suspension, a lot of bike

This bike eats rocks like a... freaking... rock-eater...? It's heavy, and you feel it going up the hills, but it takes the rocks and drops like a pro. If you do a lot of smooth flow riding, this probably isn't the right bike, you can find something lighter and jumpier. I find it more difficult to do bunny hops on this bike, probably from the weight and long wheel base. If you're taking on rough downhills, this bike is great. It's not perfect, but a perfect-ish bike with that much travel will cost you 3x as much. The frame does seem REALLY solid. You could probably run it over with a truck. Flip chip is cool, although I wish it produced more than 0.5° difference. Mullet is kinda weird to ride, but that's simply a spec of the bike, if you don't want a mullet bike, don't get a mullet bike. Pros: plenty of travel, nice suspension, decent drivetrain, great price for what it is Cons: heavy, could use an even lower gear, handlebars too wide

First of all, this bike

First of all, this bike is amazing and having owned other Specialized bikes, I had no doubt that it wouldn’t be. Shipping was ok, first time the bike arrived damaged and packaged was in shreds, no problem they sent a new bike right away. Packaging and assembly are amazing and very user friendly. They even supply tools, torque wrench and a nice shock pump. I didn’t receive the bottle cage with tool kit as others online had received with theirs, which was a bummer. All in all this bike is great, especially at this price point and Specialized was great to deal with over the phone when having to return and get a new bike sent due to the damage from shipping. I got this bike in a S2 for my 12yr old son who is 5’1”, fits great, maybe slightly big, but not enough to go down a size, he loves it. We may shorten the handlebars down to 760mm range. Great components and great bike!!

IT RIPS!

Not sure what people are talking about it wallowing but it climbs just fine and it's a beast on the down hill. The harder you push it the better it feels, it disappears under you and seems telepathic like it knows where I want to go. Very sure footed. The only changes I've made was a bash guard, some black ops pedals and water bottle holder. The seat post is awesome too, no issues with it not coming up or going down on command. This is a very serious well mannered machine. If you're reading this, take my advice and add it to your cart and purchase it NOW! You'll regret waiting.

Status 160 absolutely rips

I’ve been riding this bike for about a month now, and it is fantastic. When you bottom out, you don’t get that feeling of smacking the stopper thanks to the good suspension put into this bike. It climbs great in the high flip-chip position, and rips the downhill on either position. I haven’t had any issues with the NX derailleur yet, but I don’t expect that to stay the same, so I would recommend upgrading to a GX at least once you start having problems with the NX. Bash guard is a must if you ride tech, and you may want to upgrade to a grip 2 damper on the fox 36.

Love, love, love this bike!!

Love, love, love this bike!! Specs are equal to bikes 2x the price of the Status. I was big into mtn biking in my late teens/early 20's before getting into motorized dirt/adventure bikes. My last pedal bike purchase was a new 1998 Specialized FSR Ground Control Comp. I still have and love that bike. 1/4 of a century has turned the FSR into a beast! It is a pedal powered dirt bike! Fox shoxs, 4 piston hydrolic disc brakes, dropper post, etc!! This is the funnest thing I've ridden on trails in years. So impressed with Specialized!! I'm in N. Raleigh NC and the guys at All-Star bike shop could not have been better! Ordered online and they set me up like my own personal pit crew. There has been a paradigm shift in mtn biking since I've been away. I think this bike (especially for the $$), embodies a mtn bike at its best! This 44 yr old 6' 2" 220lb, size S5 dude is feeling zero buyer's remorse.

With some upgrades will be better

I had this Bike 1 year . its big bike i took used the S4 and i am 180cm if i had the choise i will get the S3 versnion for our trails. for small tricky trails its hard if you want to turn fast without burms ,its not so easy for uphills for many km , i change the rear shock with a coil 230x65 and works better to uphill because has more lock power and to downhill it is more proressive. has very low BB and i think its better with 165mm crankset in all versions , i get a lot of hits in cranks with 170mm but this is not big problem. the chain frame protector its not the best because the chain hits on the frame. With 27.5 front and rear its more playfull in the small tricky trails. . overall its a good bike for that price and will be great idea to see in the future a link to give you a choise to cahnge the back wheel from 27.5 to 29 compared with a headset to can change the eagle from the headtube .

Climbing Ability - It climbs very well

After riding the Status through muddy, rooty, and tight New England trails, I can confidently state that it has effectively zero problem tackling steep, technical climbs. After your first few rides you will learn to be mindful of your pedal position when going over large obstacles (something we should all do anyways) and to weight the front end appropriately to keep the front wheel planted on the trail. The Status’ tires provide so much traction that the bike is happy to pedal right over rough, tricky obstacles when climbing, and the Float X keeps the rear wheel responsive and planted when the going gets tricky. Don’t take the big bike reviewers’ words at face value - listen to all the people on here who own the bike and say that it climbs more than well enough. Every ride with the Status ends up surprising me in some new way because it constantly defies my expectations of what a long-travel, slack, mulleted trail bike is actually capable of.

Unbelievable frame and kit for

Unbelievable frame and kit for the the money! This bike gives me so much confidence to rip down more technical trails and hit bigger jumps. It bridges the gap between what I CAN do and what I WANT to do. Also, not as bad on the climbs as some assume. I’m not the best climber, but it gets me to the top every time. Built like a tank, ready for anything.

I've had this bike for

I've had this bike for a few months now and have taken it on many different kinds of rides. The pros include a great bang for the buck in terms of components, an aggressive, fast, downhill favoring geometry, and indestructible durability that makes it versatile from cross country to enduro to dirt jumping and downhill rides. The cons are primarily weight-this thing's a tank. I got an s2 that weighs 34lbs out of the box. This can handle cross country but don't expect to keep up with your faster buds, get over logs with ease or enjoy long uphills. Also, the dropper post is terrible and seizes constantly even after maintenance, maybe I got a bad cartridge. Overall this bike is great for the kind of riding I like the most, and I highly recommend it.

Trestle Bike Park perfecto tool

This is my new daily whip for Trestle Bike Park and it is perfect. Took a bit to get used to the slackness and the mixed wheel setup. After riding all season now I am a huge fan. I will be upgrading the rear rim and front fork this season. In this day and age of stupid bike prices the Status 160 is the best bang for your pesos!!!

Awesome bike!

I have the 2021 version of this bike, so I’ve had it for about a year and a half and it has been great! The suspension and brakes are excellent on the downhill, but I did have to replace the NX derailleur after it got bent pretty badly, but it was my fault. I upgraded to GX AXS which has been a game changer, but I haven’t upgraded anything else as all the components work great. The next upgrade will probably be for some faster rolling tires to liven up the bike, and I’m willing to sacrifice a little grip for that. I would definitely recommend this bike, it’s so much fun!

Coming from a 29'r hardtail

Coming from a 29'r hardtail rider with 135 travel i decided to finally join the full squish club. I read a lot of reviews on how the status isn't the best at climbing and I'm not a big fan of climbs already coming from a 36lb bike, but to ease your mind on this possible deciding factor I can tell you I don't notice it being any worse whatsoever, anyone that complains about it is a weeny period, and all my terrain is pretty brutal being from north idaho. I also heard a lot about their rims being pretty soft and may get ding'd but I'm running cushcore to curb this. I descend silver mtn an shweitzer mtn regularly with absolutely no issues. I really love this bike and will be riding it for along time. The geometry is crazy slack, if your not into that, it's like riding a chopper but feels really good an weightless downhill. It manuals with ease with that rear 27.5 and the reviews are correct about it being a party animal on cornering and downhills. The 160 travel soaks up everything I throw at it. I'm 6'4. 210lbs on the largest size. I don't have any complaints about this bike. It comes with a slick mini tool kit that attaches behind the bottle cage which is a nice little bonus. Only thing I changed was the seat an pedals. The bars are the perfect width, grips are great no issues with chain slap or dropping chains anymore then any other bike. For alittle over 3200 off their website I'd say this bike is an extremely good buy, hard to believe it's so great for the price. I recommend the status.

Amazing overall

This is a fantastic bike. I have had it for 4 months now and its doing great. Here are some pros and cons; It is my first mullet bike with a 29er in the front and a 27.5 wheel in the back. So it’s pretty easy to whip the back end around and yet have overall great control. Most of the components are working really well. The suspension works great and I have it tuned just right for me, where it can flow with the trail pretty easily. Not many negative feed back to give except that I would get new tires because the stock butchers aren’t the best and can rip or get a flat pretty easily. I have no regrets in this purchase.

Specialized’s best value mtb

This bike is wow, just wow. When shopping out a bike I wasn’t sure if I wanted a trail or enduro bike based on my riding area, and this bike blends the categories. It smashes the downs, and contrary to other reviews you definitely CAN pedal back up with it, technical or fire roads. Fox suspension is phenomenal, code r brakes feel great, and the frame geo is super confidence inspiring. The one lackluster bit is the nx drivetrain; it isn’t bad when adjusted but it needs tinkering out of the box. The only other somewhat budget oriented bike in specialized’s range is the stumpy alloy base, and as of right now is $200 cheaper than the status. It probably feels a little better climbing but it is literally downgraded in every way. Even compared to direct to consumer bikes the status is an incredible bargain. Just buy the bike, you won’t regret it!

THIS BIKE SHREDS!!!

This bike is the best, it shreds on the downhill and if your willing it can climb anything. I like to ride rough stuff and the first ride i took this thing was a black and man did it eat that trail up, the suspension is great providing a stiff and plush feeling all at the same time. The mullet setup offers great speed and control, and the breaks also help in the control department. The derailleur is decent but it'll be worth upgrading to a GX derailleur later on. Everything on this bike is great.

A status quo for cheap.

Amazing maneuverability and confidence. The Grip damper and Code brakes may be something to upgrade in the distant future, but they are very adequate for the price point. Definetly upgrade the flimsy proprietary tires first though. Nothing can really touch this bike for value. The climbing is adequate and nothing more. With the geo and squishy suspension you will be reaching for the climb switch on the shock occasionally. On the descents it turns the rock gardens to hardback and the botched landings smoothness. Every local trail turns into a party with the amount of speed you can amass.

Amazing bike for the price

Have had this bike for about a month now and riding on the daily ever since. Mostly bike park laps but have got some pedaling in as well. I don't have anything bad to say about it yet. It has delivered on every aspect I've needed it too. It wants to go downhill and downhill fast which I love. It's not the lightest or most efficient climbing bike out there but it most defiantly can climb up hill just fine. For the price I don't think this bike can be beat!

I absolutely love it. My NX group set needed some tinkering to really dial in but other than that everything has worked perfectly. It looks sick in the minty sage color. Dropper works great, and at 170mm I can run it almost slammed in the seat post. Zero complaints about the suspension, it is plush, supportive, and confidence inspiring. The slack geo and mullet set up makes the front wheel look comically huge out in front of you but you quickly get used to the visual and it inspires a ton a of confidence. Gives me trust to smash through almost anything my skill level can handle. Jumps great, like the way the smaller rear leaves lips when popping. Tires are amazing, though some might want a faster rolling rear. As far as climbing, it climbs good! Comfortable and tons of traction although it doesn’t have that super efficient feeling some smaller bikes do and the weight and tires means expending a little more energy on long climbs. Very capable, very fun, great value. For reference: I’m 5,8” 180lbs and got the S3, cut the bars to 760mm, live and ride in Utah around SLC and park city.

Incredible bike

I've owned tons of custom bikes some very expensive. I've hand-built dozens of wheel sets, CNC machined my own suspension parts, custom valved shocks and fork cartridges, hand-painted frames in professional auto paint booths with $5,000 HVLP equipment. Not to mention I've ridden all over the world at a very high level. I say this bc after all that I find the status to be incredibly beautiful, well designed and possibly my fav to ride. The geo, the mullet setup, the FSR suspension that gets out of the way, the burliness of the frame and pretty good spec, it can't be beat by very many bikes no matter how much you're willing to spend. After owning so many I much prefer a bike that will be happy to be ridden hard and not make a fuss. I like the banal, agrarian qualities of the status. I'm not into carbon, kashima or XTR anymore. For my status I built a wheel set, added Saint brakes, light cassette, slx drivetrain, tuned 65mm coil shock, open bath fork. 5 stars after upgrades. 4 stars stock

Pros and cons

Bought this bike during covid it was all I can get at the time pretty decent bike for the money, but not as a every day trail bike. The head angle on this bike is awful on climbs. This is a perfect bike on the downhill. I’m 6’2 and have a hard time cornering the bike on switch backs due to its aggressive seat post. This bike is for the downhill junky who knows he’s going to get into a lot of accidents because this bike is extremely durable. Trail riders who ride with huge groups on modern terrain beware the 27.5 on the rear on flat rock gardens it’s terrible.

Go for broke with Status

Handles & jumps great for bike park. Only one build spec includes inferior/soft rims which will dent & ding unbelievably well. Get ready to spend some big $$$ on carbon or EX511 to replace these rims within a month or two of riding. Not to mention replacing Code R brakes. Specialized customer care is non-existent, they never answer phone for weeks. Highly recommended.

You won't get a better bike for the price

Numbers don't lie. Since my first ride on the Status, I've set PRs on almost every section of my local trails. Purchased it about a month ago. Bike was delivered in about a week. I had my local Specialized retailer set it up and the bike has been firing since my first ride. It's my first mullet. I was a 27.5 guy for about 4 years before the Status. The mullet is everything people rave about. Float suspension feels great. The geometry is really impressive because the front end is so slacked, but I don't feel like I'm losing anything on the uphill. Overall, I'd strongly recommend this bike for anyone who is looking to affordably move to something that will allow you to go faster and ride rowdier lines.
