The Roubaix Pro is an endurance road tire that's well suited for smooth and rough roads alike. That's because it's fast like any competitive road tire, only it features a bead-to-bead Endurant casing, plus our BlackBelt technology for puncture protection. Meanwhile, the casing smooths your ride and keeps you fresh, while the tread handles responsively over mixed terrain. It also features a slick center tread for low rolling resistance and shoulder sipes for increased surface adaption and grip.

  • Casing: 120 TPI

  • Bead: Foldable

  • Compound: GRIPTON®

  • Flat Protection: Endurant Casing and BlackBelt

  • 700 x 23mm/25mm, psi 115-125, approximate weight 260g

  • 700 x 25mm/28mm, psi 85-95, approximate weight 300g

Amazing tire - very long life!

I like the nice feel of the Roubaix Pro tire. I have a front one that is still showing wear marks at over 15,000 miles! When I rotate tires I can get at least 5,000 miles out of a pair. I use the 700 x 25,28 on a Trek Emonda SLR6 bike.

1 year, 3000 miles

23/25mm bought as a commuter tyre to replace very fragile Conti GP 4000s. Commute is 22 miles/day across the city so there's broken glass, potholes, uneven roads etc. Grip is fantastic in wet and dry - no issues there at all. Rubber seems vulnerable to cuts - the centre line is sliced to pieces and I certainly wouldn't have been able to run these tubeless as the cuts are far too large to seal. After a year the rubber is starting to crack. Wear indicators suggest plenty of life left but coming into winter and with 8 punctures in the last fortnight I'd say they've reached the end of life. I'd consider buying again as a summer commuter but for over winter the blackbelt protection doesn't cut it.

1000+ mile review

These are some of the best endurance tires I have used. I have over 1000+ miles on them and they are still as compliant, smooth, and low rolling resistant as the day I bought them four months ago. I would highly recommend for those riders looking for an endurance tire that rides well, corners well, provides traction on wet roads and puts long miles in on rides. As for the recent complaints on here, one didn’t mount his correctly allowing sealant to leak out, another didn’t ride it for five years and the other seemed to like his other tires whatever those were. Everyone else seems to agree these are some of the best tires you can buy and I agree.

Less. Than Stellar

The tires didn’t meet my expectations. I originally had 700 x 23 tires and upgraded to 700 x 28 expecting a faster smoother ride. The bike now requires more effort and it doesn’t turn as nimble as the original tires. I was happier with my original tires.

The rubber dry rot cracks like crazy

I had small chunks come off due to dry rot at which point I had to throw them out. This is too bad because I really liked the tires, no flats with any of the two sets, wore like iron, had hardly any cuts, and had great traction dry or wet. If you are the kind of person who has one bike, rides it a lot, and goes through tires once a year or two, and needs a tire that will hold up to abuse and against flats then these would be a great tire to have. But I have several bikes that I ride, so a set of tires on one bike will last about 4 to 5 years. I am perplexed as to what kind of star rating to give the tires, had I had them for a couple of years, and they didn't dry rot but simply wore out after a lot of miles, I would have given them a 5-star rating, but since they cracked I only could give them a 2 1/2-star rating, but of course, they only have a 2 or 3-star rating so I went with the 3 because I did have them for a while, and the positives of the tire outweighed giving them a 2.

The best I have owned

bought these in 32mm for my Creo gravel, as my existing were relatively heavy. Its an amazing transformation, as instead of crashing over holes and rough surfaces, they 'bounce over' and give the greatest ride, while at the same being are perfectly balanced and light, making my battery go further I believe. Tubeless took a bit of time to bed in and completely seal, and while I still do pump them up every ride, they are now only down to about 66/68lbs from my preferred pressure of 73lbs. [I weigh 70kg] Highly recommended.

Great tires

I put a 30/32 set on my Cervelo Caledonia last April (2022), tubeless setup, mounted to DT Swiss rims that come with the Cal's Ultegra offering. I put 1200 miles on these on mixed pavement/gravel in southern MN. Some of this gravel was rough, some pretty much clear. These performed flawlessly, no punctures at all. Won't be surprised to get 5k+ miles on these - Awesome tires! My set measured close to 32mm, maybe a little over set up as tubeless.

Great tire

Couple of years back Specialized ran a sale on tires and the staff at my LBS told me jump on this deal. Well I forgot until the last day and when I went back all the LBS had was these tires in 700x25/28. I was not happy as my experience with 700x28 is that routinely the tires were a touch small for my taste. I had no choice as I had just picked up a sweet bike that needed tires. Oh my gosh these are great!!! Ride like a 700x 30 tire From now on you can bet my front tire will be this tire in the 700x 28 version.

I have over 15,000 miles this tire!

That's right one of these tires has been on the front wheel of my bike for over 15,000 miles. I've never had over 4,000 miles on any tire before these. The reason may be my roughly 5,000 miles per year is on a rails to trails path. So no glass, nails etc. The same tire on the rear yields about 5,000 miles. The tires are comfortable and well built. I use 90psi in my 700 x 25-28 tires. They are used on a Trek Emonda SLR6 road bike.

Best all round/winter tyre there is

I have tried may all round/winter tyres and without doubt these are the best around. These have great puncture protection, have good grip in the wet and roll really well. The extra volume smooths the road and makes a great ride. I will now only ever use these on my winter bike.

Great tires

I've put about 7,000 miles on Roubaix Pro tires over the past 2 summers, including a 3,200 mi solo cross-country ride that included plenty of gravel rail trails and horrible pavement. In all those miles, only ONE flat, and that was from biking through a pile of glass. In fairness, I tend to replace my tires earlier than most (+/- 2k miles), because the few extra $ are worth it to me as insurance against flatting alone in the dark, rain, or both, but still these have seemed above average to me. They also ride comfortably and, while not the lightest, seem to roll pretty well. I've been using the 25/28mm size at about 80psi with latex tubes (which I also recommend, if you don't mind topping off your air every ride.)

Fantastic tires

I am very happy with these tires. I previously used Bontrager r3's which were prone to get flats. I was concerned that these tires would not be as fast as the r3's, but that was not the case. These tires have more cushion to them than the r3's.

Smooth Riding and Durable

I bought two of these tires for training rides. I found these tire smooth out imperfections in road surfaces. I have a Specialized Roubaix Comp. These tires enhance the comfort of an already comfortable bike. I have over 1,000 miles on these tires and they look brand new. I have found that all Specialized tires wear like iron, handle well, and are a great value. I have yet to have a flat using Specialized tires with Specialized tubes.

Highly recommend! Long Touring or Racing.

I got these tires in 2017 and their initiation was a 4800mile road tour (Denver->Moab->Los Angeles->Seattle->Missoula-> Denver) and they've been by only road bike tires (every training ride, mild gravel grinders, Crits, etc) and I am finally looking to replace them. Oh, and I'm running the original, never punctured, tubes. Really really recommend them and am buying more right now. A really solid investment.

Fantastic tires for the price!

My commute went from all road to an asphalt/gravel trail with some road, so I switch from slicks to these. Way more confident and far more comfortable on these tires. Highly recommend.

Wonderful tires

These tires have worked perfectly for me over the last handful of years. They grip well, climb well, and roll well. And...no flats! (I'd much rather ride than fix a flat on the side of the road.) I'm on my second set and I'm now buying a third set.
