The Renegade CONTROL 2Bliss Ready tire is a world-class XC race tire that's light and grippy, but less prone to cuts courtesy of its Control casing. Accordingly, it's perfect for fast accelerations and climbing over hard-pack terrain. And with a fast-rolling tread design and engineered knobs, it's amazing at maintaining traction while climbing, cornering, and braking. Compared to it's S-Works sibling, this Control version has a tread pattern that's slightly wider and denser, along with a slight extension in the casing overlap that provides better protection against cuts and pinch flats. It also features our own GRIPTON® compound that maximizes mechanical grip, dampens vibration, and offers unparalleled traction in either wet or dry conditions. How? Our GRIPTON® compound recipe filters low and high frequencies, keeping your tires planted and you in control.

HEAVIER THAN ADVERTISED

Unfortunately the 29x2.30 tire comes at a weight of 700gr instead of 600gr, which is a shame.

Much better gravel tire than

Much better gravel tire than the Fast Trak. Better traction on gravel and is also lighter by about 90g each. Went from a 2.3 down to a 2.1 inch tire. Rolling resistance is also better on gravel and pavement.

Running this in 2.1 Control

Running this in 2.1 Control as rear, paired with 2.1 FastTrack Control up front. Feels efficient and is offering great grip in the mixed conditions (marble turns and loose powder over hard). The knob spacing is perfect, even grip across lean angles. The tire looks burly in online pics, is not. Not a micro knob and not aggressive Knob either….. great predictable mixed conditions xc tire. Climbs good, brakes even better.

Fast tires, slow shipping to a dealer.

In retrospect, I bought the Specialized Epic Comp that came with these tires because it was the fastest and accelerated best of 3-4 other similar bikes. A lot of that was due these light and fast tires. So I replaced the tires with the same "named" tire. New version has Max pressure 15 lb less than the OEM tires (50 vs 65). Doesn't seem to make any difference on paved rail trails in N Central, Florida. 4 stars for the shipping.

Excellent Tires

I love how they grip on the turns and are pretty good on some parts with loose dirt or gravel. Definitely better than the earlier version. My only gripe would be the weepage of sealant from the sidewalls but not enough to be a big deal.

Not sure

The downside is that 29x2.1 is 602 grams, not 560 in rest all great

Amazing tires but came in heavier than advertised

I'm blown away but the amount of grip that this minimal knob fast rolling tire provides even as a front tire in normal to dry trail conditions. I will be running these front and rear on my XC bike from now on. The only downside is that they came in at 650grams which is heavier than advertised. But they are so good, I'd live with the small weight penalty.
