When it comes time to hit a track wide open, you simply can't do any better than our Demo Pro Pants.
We made them from a woven version of our lightweight and ultra-breathable VaporRize™ fabrics. As a result, the pants are more than tough enough to take repeated spills while you're finding your line (or losing it), without sacrificing anything to comfort. And to further this concept, they also include laser perforated venting that's just as effective at dumping excess heat as mesh, only it doesn't create a weakness in the overall strength of the pants. In essence, this means that you won't find yourself blowing them out for a long time to come.
In terms of fit, you'll find that these pants are plenty baggy enough to layer body armor and pads, and there are side waist adjustment tabs that keep the waist where you want when the pockets are loaded. And for all-year riding, the Demo Pros also have the added benefit of being treated to be water-repellant.
VaporRize™ woven fabrics are treated to be water-repellant, while remaining durable, stretchy, and lightweight for peace of mind on the mountain.
Three zippered pockets provide ample, secure room to store everything that you need while you're out riding.
Laser perforated venting adds sophisticated points of ventilation that don't detract from the durability or performance of the shorts.
Designed to retain a loose and open fit while using pads and armor.
Side waist adjustment tabs ensure that the fit of the shorts is easily customizable and dialed-in, even when your pockets are loaded.
Tapered leg helps to prevent anything getting caught in the chain.
Deflect™ UV 50+ protects your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays.
Fabric Content: MAIN: Woven 89% Nylon, 11% Spandex - OTHER: Knit 100% Polyester

These pants are excellent. Fits pads and armor very well without being restricted.
Purchased for my son he says they are great! He wears them even on hot summer days and says the ventilation keeps him cool. Fits easily over his knee pads. Bought him the size up because that was all that was available but he was able to adjust the waist in with the Velcro tabs to fit.
Very comfortable, plenty of pockets, good venting. Great price on sale.
Not a great deal at full price... but on sale? BUY 2 or 3! That's what I did!
Only thing I’d change is bigger pockets. I love these pants, double knees, zippered pockets, nice fit. Just a little big.
Great fit and material. Perfect for a cool day.
Light weight, great material and ventilation. Lots of pockets for keys, wallet, snacks.
Very nice riding pants. Bought 1 size medium and 1 size large. The medium fit just as stated in the size chart. The large is quite a bit larger but I use them with layers when I fat bike in the really cold weather. I'm 5"8" and 175 #'s. Great price too!
Better then the jeans and motostyle pants, perfect for dirt jumping
PERFECT
exactly what you need when for gravity inspired riding. Plenty of room and stretch for pads, and won't slide down with the adjustable velcro waste straps.
I was so surprised when those fit right away and so comofrtoable. I do recommend
Very comfortable
These are perfect in all areas. I use them for trail riding. It a very contour fit to my body.
I've had a pair of these for a while now, they are so comfortable and well fitted. The pockets are just right for my keys and phone. The ventilation is perfect for warm days riding!!
Pants are amazing. I sized up one size from my normal pant size (34 to 36) to allow room for padded short liners. Pants have velcro adjustable tension straps on the waist to get that perfect fit without a belt. They are a great length if you have long legs and not too short nor too tight of a fit, plenty of room for knee pads. I've been wearing them around the house too, they are that comfortable.
Received a pair of these pants as a Christmas gift and they are comfortable with many nice features. However, today the plastic pull tab on the front fly/waistband snapped off. I can still undo the Velcro closure, but there is a sharp edge that I need to file down. Disappointing. I would post a pic, but that doesn’t seem to be an option here.
Excellent riding pants. Good weight for cool wet weather and a great fit.
Just started riding again after 30 yrs. Didn’t know what to expect. Pants exceeded my expectations.
I am enjoying these pants for mountain biking and gravel in cold weather, with enough room to put on long underwear when needed. There is some ventilation provided and 2 zipper pockets.
I have no other mtb pants to compare these to, but I can say I really like them I bought another pair. My first pair was 38 waist, but they were a little too big in the waist. Good thing is that there are waist straps you can cinch in to make them tighter. My 2nd pair are 36 waist and fit right on. I'm about 5'11, 220 lbs. I have no butt so I can wear smaller sizes.
I have a couple other brands of riding pants to compare with: POC and 7Mesh. The POC Enduro pants were my favorites, but I have to say the Demo Pros are pretty much equal, and just a touch lighter (not surprising). Good stretch, pretty effective DWR for a light drizzle day, perfect weight, and I like the adjustment system. I’m actually going to experiment with year-round use, since by the time you have on long socks and knee guards, you may as well have pants on anyway, and an extra layer can’t hurt! The only downside, and it’s very minimal really, is that the waist tends to relax a bit during a ride (seems to be a common occurrence, even between brands), so that by the end I’ve got the side adjusters pulled as tight as they’ll go. My solution was to buy the next size smaller, which should indicate how much I like these pants.
They fit true to size, stretch a little and are very comfortable. I highly recommend these if you want to ride in the cooler weather or just to protect your legs in any weather. I've been wearing them in the mid 30-40 degree weather with no issues.
Great fit, comfortable & super durable. This is my second pair. Still wearing the first after a year of heavy use(2-3 days a week) & few crashes. They still look & feel new.
Great pants so far! Warm but breathable. I am 6-1 34 waist and the large fits well.
Fit great, allows for comfortable pedaling, plenty of space for pads and shammy
A little big Or I lost weight Either or , great pants
Love these. Ordered one set and they fit so well I ordered another. Knee pads fit great underneath. Not for warm weather though, 60’s are still comfortable but 70+ is hot wearing them.
Good stuff - thought out.
These pants are fantastic. Have mainly used for riding in cooler weather. High quality, great fit, good venting, and they look great. Very well designed. Pocket work well for carrying misc. stuff while riding. What more can you ask for?
Hoping this helps others. I have 6’3” 200 pounds. Finding pants long enough has been a crazy challenge. Found these on a forum and ordered a size 34. Absolutely perfect.
Great pants overall. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars is the position of the pockets. The fit is true to size. Plenty of room for pads. Great fabric and ventilation.
These pants are great, nicely tapered, thigh pockets and little pocket on small of back. They do run a size big. I am a 38 but the 38s stretched and we’re falling down even cinched all the way with the Velcro tabs. I tore them in a crash and got the 36s to replace them and they are perfect.
True to size. 6 foot 2 , 275 lbs. Size 38. Great athletic fit.
Perfect for mountain biking in colder weather. Light, stretchy, great fit.
As a tall dude (6’4”) most companies’ mtb pants are waaaaaay to short, and as a dude with muscular thighs and glutes (wouldn’t that be most mtb’ers?) most companies’ mtb pants are waaaaay too tight. These are PERFECT for me. Size “36”, never change em speci! The length hits right at my ankle, and I have plenty of room for my thighs and butt. The knees have enough room for pads and are double layered for durability. The Velcro at the waist dials in the fit, and never moves after that. The fabric is light and stretchy, but the tight weave resists pulls, snags, and abrasion. A little bit of laser perf around the knees and junk let a surprising amount of airflow through. Honestly I loved my first pair so much I was wearing them every day just for work, skate, whatever; so I had to get another pair. Maybe a third is on its way…
Very durable material will not rip when you fall on gravel
Awesome
I've ridden these a few days now and can compare to my TLD Sprint and Fly Racing pants. Overall fairly pleased with these. I'm 5'-10", 168lbs, 32x32 in most jeans and the mediums are plenty big. They are baggier than I expected, but I don't wear pads underneath either. Pocket placement on the legs is pretty goo, though I find they are actually a little too big for my phone to really ride in the ideal spot (it's able to shift around while pedalling.) Rear waistband pocket is pretty worthless and can't see a use for it. The fabric is pretty light and stretchy and feels less durable than my other pants, but this also makes them very comfortable and a bit cooler running (the laser vent holes really do add noticable airflow as well). No issues with any seams or the overall construction. They are comfy enough to lounge in, which I can't say about either pair of mtb pants from other brands. I did a rainy ride with some bushwhacking and the pants soaked through - not complaining about that, but the looser cut also made them feel really baggy when waterlogged, annoyingly so. But in normal conditions it's not really an issue. Overall I'm pretty pleased, but will probably run these into the ground before I buy any more of this model.
2nd pair - great for riding and the fit is perfect. Very comfortable with adequate room for an easy pedal.
Quality is great. Waist size is good. But they are hard to get off because of the tightness at the ankle. I would like to see just a little more expandable area there to help in getting them off. Overall good product.
Leg length a little long but gives no restrictions. Very good design and quality
Bought these based off an a review of best Enduro MTB pants, they were spot on. Super flexible and very breathable. Runs a bit small, I ordered size up and it fits great with my poc impact shorts and knee pads. 32 ordered 34.
Couldn't be more happy, great fit, stretchy and soft material. Use them for hiking too. Don't ever stop making these pants
i hope Specialized never stops production of these pants. The stretch of material and the fit are out of this world, I use them as summer and winter pants. Could be bit more wented for summer but are perfect for riding in winter around 0°C. I also like that the bottom is not to tight so nno problems taking them off. They offer more then eough room for normal knee pads. I also use them for hiking.
I’m 5’11”, 32 inseam, and approx 170lbs (medium build) and these pants fit perfect. Really like the double snap with Velcro + zipper in front as well as the waist adjustment straps. The material doesn’t ‘swish’ (which I hate) and it has a good balance of stretch vs. form/structure. All in all I’d highly recommend these riding pants.
Fit's great. I'm 6'2" with long legs and the length is perfect for MTB, also great room for knee pads underneath without much pressure. It's not a big issue, but I do wish there were more pockets. The 2 at the front are OK but I'd like another on the side to separate clunky/large items that may rub together (key fob and spare garmin). The one in the center at the back is good for cards/money but I'm worried about anything bulky (eg. car key fob) causing issues if/when I fall off or am sitting in a chair after a ride.
Just right for me. I use these for all seasons. Layers in winter. Breathe well in summer. Fit right. Durable.
Super comfy fit
Sweet pants.
These are great. I'm 6'4" and 175lbs with long legs. I got the size 32 and the length is perfect. Most other pants are too short. Comfort, quality and fit are awesome.
5'3, 123 lbs -- I'd rather a 26, but the 28 fits fine and I LOVE the functionality of these pants. They vent well, are great in the rain, and the thigh pockets are easily accessible while riding. Considering buying a second pair given how much I wear them.
Perfect for fall and rainy park riding!
Very comfortable, don't overheat. Loving them so far.
Good riding trousers. Nice cut, so doesn't slip down, easiest adjusters quite effective. Lightweight and not too sweaty Very good stretch and seems robust enough to shake off minor crashes. Room for lightweight knee pads underneath. Slightly too short in the leg, would benefit from being 20mm longer.
very good but a tag long. great fit and very comfortable.
So far so good. A little warm for the summer, but breathes good enough. Had two minor spills on a downhill trail, there were no signs of abrasion on the pants. I do like the comfort and the fit. Am 6’4” and weigh 120 lbs. Got a size 28, fits fine.
Looking like I’m riding in a bicycle race is not my style. These pants by Specialized are comfortable. Perfect for Seattle weather. The pants fit well and have been worn by me every day since they arrived.
Nice pants. Thicker material in the knees area, easy to get on/off. Would recommend!
So far so good. Save my legs from a lot of scratches.
These are probably the best MTB pants I’ve owned! They are truly BLACK not some weird bluish black. The Velcro belt works great! The combo of the zipper, two snaps, and Velcro up front works great! Pockets are perfect and are actually sewn in not fabric glue 🤙🏼 No leg zipper so you have to take pants off to get to knee pads, but I honestly prefer this..looks better and makes pants way more comfortable 10/10
I bought these for my self I am 6 foot 149 pounds and get the 34’s they are a bit big for waist but the length is perfect and they have held up great
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the pants suffered a small tear in some of the lighter weight/stretchy parts of the fabric during a crash (probably just bad luck). But Specialized sent me a new pair at no cost which was really awesome. The pants are very comfortable, stretchy where they need to be, and shed light rain and mud very well which was what I was hoping for -- I doubt I'll need to break out my waterproof pants very often now. Another big plus is that my larger knee pads fit nicely underneath the pants.
Awesome for all weather. Stick in 30-35 degree mix between snow, sleet and rain, they were great.
Perfection way better than the newer model!
You have got to get 2 pairs of the Demo Pro pants from Specialized!!!!! These pants are soooooo stylish and good looking it’s ridiculous!!!!! Sooooooo comfortable and loose I can ride and wear these all day long with no issues whatsoever! The only thing that would be even better is another color. The material looks so good it looks like I ‘m wearing dress pants!!!!! Thumbs up Specialized, Great job!!!!!
Best fitting and feeling MTB pants I’ve had to date. I have several other brands of MTB specific pants and these definitely rank at the top. They look and feel more casual than most, but also feel tough enough to put through the ringer. You won’t feel awkward if you need to run to town and don’t have time to change. Overall very pleased with DEMO PRO’s. If your on the fence about purchasing them, I’d say go for it.
I love them, fit perfect lengthwise with plenty of adjustment to tighten and loosen. I really like the weight and air flows in all the right places. Has weird pockets just above the knee, but i try to keep my stuff on my bike when i can so no big deal.
I purchased these as a woman, given I have a longer inseam. I read reviews which were favorable and took a chance. Priced well, the fit is great even for a " woman ", they're very breathable when warmer, yet warm when in much cooler temps. Plenty of room for pads, and purchasing a pair for hubby!
Great pants. Room for knee pads. Good trail or DH pants.
I love these pants. They are stylish and functional. I wear them off the bike as well.
Great pants for chilly weather, well made, true to size. I prefer these over any other pants I've tried from $30-$200 ones online. I would buy 4 more pair if they were available
Great all-weather pant. I prefer pants over dorky shorts and tall socks. These breathe well due to the perforations in the crotch and back of knee, so even in warmer weather around 70 degrees, I'm not too hot. DWR finish resists water when it splashes up on the legs, but I wear a bib in the winter to soak up the extra water and mud on the butt after long wet rides.
These are the first pair of trail pants I've owned and they're awesome! These look great, are comfortable and loose enough to wear a base layer underneath and go over my boots. The pocket on the right quad is great for carrying my phone too. I bought a size 36 which is what I wear in jeans, shorts and even Specialized Enduro Sport shorts, and even with the Velcro straps on the side these are still slightly looser than I prefer in the waist. I would definitely recommend!
I have taken a few rides now with these pants, They are very comfortable (w/o shammyy) and I don't even notice them when pedaling with knee pads on. I ordered a size 30 and they fit my 145lb 5-11 frame well. Very happy so far.
Pants fit true to size, have plenty of room for knee pads but aren't baggy. Crotch venting is nice.
Fit - true to size, not ""loose"" or ""baggy"" by any means but fabric has great stretch and conformity. Waist tabs fully open yields stated size, sizing up wouldn't hurt if you like a baggier more forgiving fit Comfort - excellent, a strong point - replaced pair of TLD Sprint pants that were decidedly snug, uncomfortable and actually abrasive at knee seams. By contrast these couldn't be more comfortable Durability - a concern, knees/seat lack reinforcement. Inconclusive as I've not crashed in them yet. Warmth - minimal, these are not cool-weather pants necessarily. Merino base layer on cold days solves that problem nicely. Overall - solid pants for a day on the trail. Pockets! Thank you...
I also have Scott and Void pants but these are the best. Size 34 fit my 5' 10"" and 180 lb frame great. Front pockets are good and the small pocket on rear of waistband is good for a small tool or keys which saves front pockets for fast access items such as a phone, credit card and cash.
Love these pants, have worn them in temps from 28-60f and was always comfortable. Very stretchy, durable through a little crash, and fit is perfect for pedaling up and ripping down with kneepads. Sizing is spot on, I wear a ""32"" in every pair of pants I own and 32 was just right with the adjusters right in the middle. So good I'm getting a second pair if I can find some in stock anywhere. For the record, I don't own any big S bikes.
Your website sells 9 sizes named 28-44"" in increments of 2"". The sizing chart has 10 sizes from XS to XXL Please clarify what letter size maps to what numeric size, otherwise it's impossible to pick
I'm 5'8"" and waist size 32 and length typically 30. These fit perfectly in the waist but were expectedly a bit long in the leg for me. These pants are excellent - super comfortable and quite breathable. I've worn them on 20 mile ride with no problem. They also protected me when I fell in the bike park. Like the tapering near the ankle. They easily fit pads underneath.
