Rides Nice

I bought the Crosswords 2 about a month ago after riding two Schwinn's for several years. This bike is far superior and very enjoyable to ride. Deraillers are smooth and 14 speeds is more than enough. I am in my 80's and this bike serves me well.

Dependable Value

I shopped upright, well engineered bikes. I’m 6’, 200 lbs., 67 yrs. old. This Specialized Crossroads 2.0 offers an attractive, no frills, upright riding position. Your body weight is positioned less forward and off of the handlebars while peddling. Shifting gears is fast and flawless. Command of this bike requires little effort and feels easily controlled. The tires are tall and wide for various riding surfaces, and the tread pattern even accommodates a fast hard smooth surface. Light weight, rider positioning, and high quality made this a hands down choice for me.

Crossroads

One of the best values on the market. I bought my Crossroads 5 years ago, the day after I wore out my first one. I am 77 years old, and prefer the relaxed riding position. I invested in a Cloud 9 seat, aluminum alloy pedals and a secure rack positioned over the rear tire. I pack a repair kit with a new tube and tire pump. I cut up old cotton t shirts into strips to clean between the gears. I use 3 and 1 oil lightly as necessary and wipe off any excess. Wipe down frame after using once in awhile. I keep my bike out of the weather. Give your bike some respect and it will pay you back 100 fold.

This a great bike. I

This a great bike. I like the riding position and the comfort. My previous ride required a bit more lean over the handlebars. I am getting to an age where this bike is much more comfortable. My wife has the same model except she has had hers for a few years. She loves hers too. I like a few updates on the newer model like break lines inside the tube. Had the bike shipped to a local shop for setup and was able to fully outfit with accessories.

Still breakin this bike in

My local bike shop which I have used over the years had a crossroads 2.0 in stock ready to ride out the door. So far so good the 2.0 is easy to peddle the seat is taken a little to get used to as there is a little side to side motion that my bike shop said this is normal. I have learned that I can tight that up a bit by turning the black adjustment on the seat post by hand which still does not take up all the play. As for all the other working parts the gear levers are a bit small for my big hands I am trying some adjustments of the two brake levers so I can give my fingers a little more room to work. I am getting older now a senior citizen I have to remember that the tires that came with the bike work well on pavement while there is a need to be extra careful on loose gravel and sand. So all that said do I like my new bike "YES"

Crossroads 2.0 Rocks….and Rolls

I was looking for a bike that would’t impel that ostrich with his head in the sand riding position. I am in great shape, but I’m older now and want to feel both safe and comfortably relaxed and upright while biking. This a great bike for tooling about on the roadways and I handles light trails with aplomb. It’s also A very handsome ride in satin/cast battleship gray/hyper reflective. It’s also available in satin/marine blue/chrome. I love this bike.
