The new Stumpjumper EVO chassis was built with all the geometry and suspension adjustment you need to make it your own, based on your riding style and terrain. The Stumpjumper EVO 27.5 Suspension Link allows you to run your 2021-2024 Stumpjumper EVO with a 27.5” rear wheel. Our mixed-wheel link adjusts the geometry and kinematics on the chassis for the smaller rear wheel, providing you with an easy solution to run this setup while maintaining the intended suspension performance and geometry. In comparison to the all-out speed and traction of a front and rear 29” wheel, a mixed-wheel setup provides a nimbler ride with quick cornering and additional rear wheel clearance when getting over the back of the bike.

  • Forged and CNC’d alloy link.

  • Includes full complement sealed bearings pressed into link.

  • Geometry and kinematic corrects for 27.5” rear wheel.

  • 155 mm of travel.

  • Compatible with 2021-2024 Stumpjumper EVO chassis.

  • No other chassis parts required (does require a 27.5” wheel and tire).

Works but not well

I recently bought the stumpy evo Ltd, which comes mulleted. I wanted a bike that would be great on big hits and such, I'm loving the mullet set up as well as the geo however the link is the issue. I find myself bottoming out way too easy, even though I'm only about 140lbs. I recently switched to the wrp stumpy evo mullet yolk, as well as the cascade link. This combo has solved all my problems and I no longer find myself digging deep into travel after small hits. Despite the cost, I highly highly recommend the cascade link and wrp yolk as it alters the progression ratios back to the 29er variant.

Love the geometry, bummed about the performance

The Link is simple to install, and the geo is super fun on steep technical trails. However, the link does affect the progress of the bike and the rear end bottoms out quite easily on hard hits, even with volume spacers added. I'm still exploring options for a more progressive rear shock, but for the time being I've swapped it back to the stock link and 29" rear wheel. Though the mullet setup will work well for less aggressive riding, I'm not sure I can recommend it, at least for my intended use, which is more aggressive riding/terrain.

Installation took me maybe 15-20 minutes and you get to keep all of the factory Geometry that Specialized designed the bike for in the first place. This link actually bumps the rear-wheel travel up to 155mm. Plus it isn't crazy expensive and it comes with the bearings already installed which makes installation a breeze. I 100% highly recommend this link if you are going to run your StumpJumper EVO as a mullet, and personally, I highly recommend the StumpJumper EVO as a mullet because it gets a little more lively and playful than the stock 29" wheel setup.
