Pro Tip: Use our Shiv Finder to determine the proper Shiv size for you.

We've never been ones for dogmatic rules. And with a little defiance of the UCI's rule book, the Shiv sets the new standard for speed—again. It keeps its aero, fuel, and fit focus, but does so in an entirely new and novel way. Yes, it has disc brakes. Yes, it's easy to travel with. And yes, it takes aero to unheard of heights using storage and fit features that also make you faster. There's only one bike that's going to help get you to the top of the podium this season and that's the Shiv Disc.

Keeping in theme with "race-ready, right out of the box," we've selected a spec that embodies uncompromising value and unwavering speed. You'll get Roval's C38 carbon wheels to keep you rolling fast, Shimano's Ultegra Di2 groupset to deliver crisp, always-perfect shifts, and our new Sitero Expert saddle.

  • The incredibly aerodynamic, crosswind-optimized, and non-UCI-legal FACT carbon frame features all the details you’ve asked for. It’s packable, adjustable, has our Hydration and Nutrition Fuelcell systems, and it makes it easy to find your perfect fit. Compared to the fastest 2011 Shiv setup possible (Fuelcell, slammed bars, clean cable routing, BTA bottle), the Shiv Disc is nearly a minute faster over the Kona course. With a more typical Shiv setup, the Shiv Disc is faster by minutes—plural. So, no matter how much you need to carry, you’re sure to have the fastest setup come race day.

  • What was that about storage? Just like with the original Shiv, the Shiv Disc features both Hydration and Nutrition Fuelcell storage options, but we didn't simply reuse them. Instead, we designed them from the ground up. We moved the Hydration Fuelcell from inside the frame to the rear of the bike. Now, it's entirely hidden within the frame (even the hydration hose), which not only allows for more fluid capacity, but it also helps with aerodynamics. The Nutrition Fuelcell utilizes the additional volume created by the "New Shape of Speed" for the down tube, and this creates plenty of room for snacks. How many snacks? 10-12 gels, 4-5 bars, or 5-6 chews fit with ease, and it can also be removed to easily access the Shimano Di2 A-Junction Box or a flat repair kit

  • We also made sure that the Shiv is plenty adjustable for you to dial-in your fit. The frame comes in four different sizes that are based on over 1,000 Retül fits with actual athletes, all to ensure that your ideal fit is achievable. Our Shiv Finder tool makes it easy to determine your size based on your current position, so getting your most powerful aerodynamic position is easily achievable.

  • Adjustability was also high on the list for the aerobars, extensions, and arm pads, so the cockpit is adjustable on nearly every access. Need more or less base bar stack? Simply loosen a single bolt on each side and tilt it up or down. The aerobars, themselves, also offer plenty of adjustability—fore, aft, and pad width, all with aggressive and relaxed positions in mind. An added bonus of this adjustability is the ease of travel. All you have to do is fold the base bar down to the fork, unbolt the cockpit, and your Shiv is ready for the bike box. We couldn't make it any easier.

Wouldn’t buy again

The actual bike ~ frame - adjustability, TT et up is great, however the wheels that come with this bike are a disaster. They are heavy and do not roll like other carbon wheels. They are apparently suitable for both road and gravel use ~ so a bit of a bizarre choice for a triathlon bike that you are never going to use off road or through the winter. I had my most difficult and slowest rides on this bike until I borrowed the wheels off my other halves Shiv - CLX64’s and it was like riding a completely different bike. However this leaves a difficult decision, do I save up and buy new wheels or cut my losses and sell the bike. Very disappointed.

Unbelievably fast

Hands down this is the fastest bike currently on the market, and for the 1% of triathletes not immediately sold by that fact, the news gets even better, specialized has worked some of their black magic on this bike so that even with all the integration keeping you comfortable and slippery through the air all race long, its also a dream to dial in your fit and keep that fit locked in through transport to race day. Im not here to tell you its an amazing climber, but its still able to grind up at least a 15 degree incline even carrying an extra liter of water on the bike, and while its not optimized for quick turns and acceleration, the stiffness and power transfer you get on this bike let you put the hammer down exactly when you want to, without a moment hesitation. Bottom line this bike is freaky fast without being a diva to take care of. PS the other two reviewers or other Shiv Disc owners, if you get the 25mm offset seat post instead of the 0 offset post that comes stock, you get another two inches of clearance to bring the seat down without having to do anything else to the bike (I was also running into the same issue of incompatibility between my fit specs and the stock seat post/fuelcell.

Excellent

My first trip bike. Long time cyclist, just getting into triathlons. It is very fast and quite comfortable. To Sam (the previous reviewer), I had the same issue with the water cell, but my bike store was able to cut the box/sail/fairing/ water tank to make it work. I did upgrade the wheels to CLX64 with Turbo Cotton's and the ride quality was excellent. Rode 66 miles today in 10 mph wind - 3 loops so for wind in every direction, but the bike felt rock stable and quick. A proper fit is key, but this is bike is so fun and fast, it should be illegal. Minor issue - lost the rubber lid to my hydration system on the drive back. I think it got disconnected from the base at a rest stop and the on the drive the thing fell off. Need to buy a new one now and figure out how to drive with it when the bike is mounted on the hitch.

Need to consider shorter people

Not overly thrilled to spend the money I did on the bike to find that I can't utilise the water cell the sits on the back. Due to my height, my seat is too low for it to slot in.
