Pioneering Endurance Geometry

Pioneering Endurance Geometry

The Roubaix’s endurance geometry delivers an “IN” the bike, not “ON” the bike feel that’s ideal for long rides. It relieves stress from your hands, arms, and shoulders, yet is ready to dissect any twisting mountain descent at full gas.

More Clearance, More Capable

More Clearance, More Capable

With tire clearance up to 40 mm, this endurance road machine delivers better traction than ever on rough roads and even light gravel. We’ve given it every mount your adventures could need—three bottle mounts, top-tube mounts, and it’s even fender-ready.

Smoother is Faster

Smoother is Faster

Smoother is faster comes from suspending the rider, not the bike. As rough roads impact your Roubaix, our all-new Future Shock 3.0 and AfterShock technology keep you floating above the chaos - reducing impacts by 53% vs. the nearest competition.

We created the endurance road category two decades ago proving that high ergonomics means high performance. Today, the new Roubaix SL8 with Future Shock 3.0 is lighter, faster, and smoother than any road bike ever made, unleashing unmatched confidence. The road may be hell below, but on Roubaix, it’s always heaven above.

With low-maintenance, Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting and hydraulic disc brakes paired with DT Swiss G540 Disc wheels, you have the perfect steed to excite you out on the road.

  • COMPLIANCE: Future Shock 3.0 is the star of the show, more tunable, adjustable, and durable than ever. Now, regardless of position on the bike, every rider experiences 20mm of smooth, stiction-free travel between the stem and head tube. Future Shock helps keep your hands and bars steady for a smoother ride with more control to stay fast, safe, and confident.

  • Our dropped clamp design exposes more seatpost to increase deflection, but “more” isn’t simply better. The Pavé seatpost controls that deflection for the optimal vertical compliance. Together they create AfterShock technology, and when paired with the Roubaix’s rigid rear triangle, deliver a smooth ride with no loss in efficiency.

  • The Roubaix SL8 is the smoothest road bike our Ride Science Team has ever tested—reducing impacts at the bars and saddle by 53% vs. the nearest competition. With Roubaix’s Future Shock 3.0 the wheel quickly moves over the bump, while rider mass remains stable, maintaining momentum in rough terrain. Typical forks deflect backward on impact, causing a measurable loss in speed. It’s a scientific fact, smoother is indeed faster.

  • CAPABILITY: The Roubaix pioneered endurance geometry, so you ride “IN” the bike, not “ON” the bike to relieve pressure on your hands, arms, and shoulders for capability and confidence on any road, yet it’s ready to dissect a mountain decent at full gas. Snuggle up.

  • With tire clearance up to 40mm, this endurance road machine delivers better traction than ever on rough roads and even light gravel. Thanks to lightweight, super-efficient Specialized tires, that extra tire volume and traction comes with no downsides.

  • Roubaix inspires really BIG days on the bike, so we’ve given it every mount your adventures could need—three bottle mounts, top-tube mounts, and it’s even fender-ready. So, go ahead and bring it all along for the ride.

  • PERFORMANCE: The new Roubaix SL8 is our most aero yet, with new aero shapes from our Free Foil library and dropped seat stays. At just 950 grams, the frame is lighter, utilizing lessons learned from the Aethos - the world’s lightest production frame - and Fact 10r carbon blend. Nothing in its class is faster or lighter than the Roubaix.

Rode all the brands

Like- it fits like a glove, turns impressively well for a 20lb endurance bike inspires confidence. My roads here are all chipseal, cracked, potholes it’s all here for the taking, but 32mm tires and the future set up takes care of 50% of the chatter leaving your upper extremities feeling less fatigued. I got the Comp on sale 105di and cannot beat the gear it’s loaded with even the power saddle. This is just a great bike I’m 5-10” 170 -30”inseam long upper body the 54 fit perfectly. Shipped completely assembled minus the wheels on. Cons- just wish,,wish it came with the new 105-shimano carbon 30mm wheelset. Might be slightly heavier than others, but you cannot tell while riding, it’s fast.

What's not to love?

Just perfection. I had a gravel bike for a while and swore it was my everything bike. I tried a friend's Roubaix and I was hooked. So smooth, so easy to handle, absolute dream. Right out of the box, I rode this bike through a 7 day event, complete with blistering heat and driving rain. I put hundreds of miles on it straight away and not a single problem from the Roubaix. My only complaint is that the model I can afford didn't come in RED!

Necessary upgrade!

I have been an avid rider for about 4 years now and finally decided it was time to upgrade from my aluminum CAAD. The bike is light and smooth and instantly noticed previous riding pains were long gone. In addition, the additional features such as DI2, shock3, and lightweight frame makes me wish I would have made the purchase sooner. I have done recently done my first bike event (75 miles) on hilly terrain and it was a breeze. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence thinking about the transition to carbon and looking for an endurance focused bike.

Worth every penny!

As a buyer, the Specialized Roubaix SL8 Comp delivers an exceptional riding experience, particularly for endurance cycling. The lightweight FACT 10R carbon frame and Future Shock 3.2 front suspension ensure a smooth ride over rough terrains. The Shimano 105 components offer precise shifting, and the hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power. The DT Swiss wheels and S-Works tires enhance stability and grip. Overall, this bike is a perfect blend of comfort, performance, and durability, making it an excellent investment for serious cyclists.

smooth ride

I have been injured since before I purchased this bike back in October 2023. I have put around 600 miles on it. This is a way smoother ride than my aero bike and another endurance bike I own. The roads around here are tough on cycling. The new bike will smooth this out a bit and make it more tolerable for me to ride. @70 yrs old I could use some smooth rides. LOL The bike seems to fit me well. Can't wait to heal up completely so I can get riding this bike.
