Foot-Out, Flat-Out—the 2FO Flat 1.0 was designed to provide comfortable, all-day riding, while still looking the part for when it's time to grab a post-ride libation. Its outsole features our SlipNot™ 2.0 rubber compound, which was developed as a system to create the best pedal connection possible. Contrary to popular belief, pedal connection isn’t just about rubber—the rubber hardness, stickiness, lug pattern, midsole thickness, and density all contribute to this connection. Along with the new sole, we've also implemented captured foam into the forefoot top, providing protection from rocks and roots when the trail turns gnarly.

Best MTB shoes I have owned

Have ridden these shoes for around a year now. They are extremely comfortable, very grippy and still look good after a year of hard use. The sock/liner makes the shoes very comfortable and keeps out dirt. 10/10 will buy again.

Feels glued to my pedals

I'm wearing these with Issi flat pedals. Amazing grip that I rarely worry about not being clipped in.

Excellent shoe

I've been using these shoes for lots of single track riding, over 200 miles in them so far, and they are great. The fit is perfect (I wear a size 10.5 in my 5-10 freeriders and got these in a 10.5, too). I really like the inner-liner. It keeps little rocks out. These have protected my toes from many roots and rocks. They really grip my RaceFace Affect pedals and provide a good amount of stiffness but allow for the feel I need to know where my foot is at on the pedals. These shoes look good, too.

Much improved from the original 2FO

I'll start off right away by saying this is not the 2FO flat shoe from years prior, heck no. This shoe is way better than the original that was put out. It's not 100% perfect if you like the sticky grip that Five Ten shoes put out, but it's a great choice for something that allows you to easily move your foot on the pedal and feel comfortable off the bike. The rubber sole is not as grippy as you'd find with some of the Five Ten shoes, however, this doesn't mean they are a bad shoe by any means. I'm currently playing around with a few different shoe options and I'd say this one is the most flexible. That's a bonus if you really like to feel feedback through your feet. If you're looking for a really stiff flat shoe, this won't be for you. They have worked well for my mountain bike rides but if I wore them for longer gravel rides (40 miles) my feet felt fatigued. They are nicely constructed and I absolutely love that they have a lace bungee so I'm not shoving laces under laces. That feature saves a lot of time and holds the laces in great. The outer is not made of fabric, it makes me think more of rubber, and this is excellent because it makes the outer shoe easy to clean! I'm currently using these shoes while riding the trainer and am not having any issues with foot discomfort. In fact, they work for me better than my old pair of Five Ten Freerider Conctacts, which were causing my foot to go numb. All in all, I really like these as a shoe option- they are much improved from the original and I would say that they are definitely worth a try.
