I recently purchased the Vado 4 Step-Through and love the bike and look forward to many miles. The ride is smooth and feel very natural with the assistance. I love the extra speed and it makes hills disappear. I am easily able to travel at about 20 mph and feel secure and sturdy on turns. The fork takes bumps nicely and the ride remains comfortable. I really think it is very well equipped, especially at the latest price drop. I have been looking for several years and am glad I finally pulled the trigger. When I compared similar models, I really feel like I nailed the sweet spot for features and specs I was after at a very competitive price. The app is also nice and the screen is readable in sunlight.

My Wife and I are avid cyclists and really didn't need an e-bike, but we wanted something that was just fun. I did heavy research with TREK and Specialized and almost went with TREK because of their excellent customer service, but I felt not quite happy with their choices. I then looked at Specialized, miles better for the look, price and power and especially the 48 month zero interest loan. I've had my bike for 3 days and look for reasons to use it, (do you need milk at Publix, Honey?). I'm really pleased with the color display and Mission Control which I'm still learning about, but after looking at a few YouTube vids, it's getting even BETTER! So happy with our purchase! 6 stars if I could. Rock Creek Outfitters in Chattanooga get a special shout out!

Smooth ride, can handle some bumps, dirt and gravel despite having fenders. You still need to shift gears to keep up your speed on hills but the large battery and capable motor make it a winner.

Comfortable and well equipped and great on flat roads and paved paths; however, very disappointing performance against the wind or going uphill…disaster if you try doing both of those things. An e-bike touring company provided these bikes to us for a week-long tour in Vermont. They performed well as long as the terrain was relatively flat. The low spec 250 watt motor provided some assistance on mild uphill grades but provided NO assistance or help whatsoever on steeper grades. It just doesn’t have the power to get up hills…period. We had to miss about 1/3rd of the tour routes because of weak motor. Everyone in the group of 17 who had these bikes had the same complaint. I understand why these bikes have many favorable reviews but I have to assume these are new e-bike riders who don’t fully realized what the new ebikes are capable of. Two stars for quality of build and comfort only.
