    2021 Roubaix Expert

With seven wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix Expert now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 2.0 that gives you more control and damping options, a new Pavé seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered™ frame that’s shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don’t call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix.

For the build, we spec’d the Expert with Shimano Ultegra Di2 for its powerful hydraulic disc brakes and super crisp 11-speed shifting. Of course, you’ll be rolling on sturdy wheels courtesy of a DT R470 Disc wheelset.

    Sweetest roadbike ever

I own a HiMod Synapse and used to own a Felt VR2 and the original FutureShock 1.0 Roubaix (MY2018). This new FutureShock Roubaix Expert is by far the sweetest ride of them all. Unlike that earlier Roubaix, the new build is lighter, nimbler, more reactive to power and comfortable without the bouncing and diving (when you brake).

THE one bike to RULE them all! (Sorry Tarmac!)

This bike was designed by the gods, made by Zeus himself, and used by Hercules during all his wild adventures. There is no other bike that is as fast, as compliant, as comfortable, and will get you attention of all the ladies. I constantly have to ride even faster to escape their chase. No problem though because the Roubaix accelerates with ease. I slapped on the Roval Rapide CLX wheelset, and now I don't even need my Ferrari anymore, this bike eats Italian stallions for breakfast. Seriously, get yourself one (if you can find one!) and ride the Unicorn of performance bikes. Specialized nailed it with my 2021 Roubaix. I love this bike more than my Tesla stocks!

If you can only have one bike, this is it!

I do a wide variety of riding, from fast group rides to gravel excursions, and wanted one bike to meet all my needs. The Tarmac and Diverge are probably better bikes for each specific activity, but Roubaix occupies the do-it-all sweet spot between the two. It's plenty fast on asphalt, but has a ton of compliance (especially with 700x32 tires) for off-road excursions. In my case, I do a lot of riding on Michigan roads which are terrible. The Future Shock 2.0 is no gimmick--it does an *amazing* job smoothing out broken pavement. And this particular build configuration (the Expert with Di2 and aluminum wheels) occupies a 'sweet spot' price point that doesn't exist with competitive brands. I highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a mid-priced, highly-capable road bike.

    Perfect combination!!

I'm a sprint triathlon guy and road biker. But my wife wants to hit the railroad paths. What a perfect bike for this. The future shock 2.0 is awesome. You can adjust to no suspension which is perfect for sprinting. Then move over to max comfort for trails or rough roads on the fly. Ultegra Di2 is crisp and simple. Was able to consolidate to one bike. But am excited to get a 2nd set of wheels/tires. One for comfort one for racing. Glad I waited for 2021 version. Just stellar!
